i didn't realize texas A&M campus had tracks too.

Well the city's name is College Station after all.

To be fair though, it wasn't always that way. It used to be just a few athletic fields and the baseball stadium were on the other side of the tracks. It's different now that west campus has grown so much though.

If you look at the map, that road directly to the left of the football stadium is Wellborn. The rails run right along that road. Everything to the right is the older main campus. Everything to the left is west campus. FWIW I never had to go to the west side expect for a single Econ class that was at the George HW Bush Library way off to the left in that little box. You can't really walk to there as it's a decent distance from WC so you would have to drive over if you wanted to see/use it.

Clemson has one near campus but it crosses over the road on a bridge.

are there pedestrian tunnels under it?

at NCSU, a lot of the dorms are right next to the tracks so i assume the students get woke up a lot at night.

Yea there is at least one (and I think they might be building more though I'm not sure) but it's fairly new. When I was there there was one of those old shitty metal gated pedestrian bridges that went over the road. Back then there wasn't even a fence that blocked access to the tracks so it was pretty easy to get across.

There are old dorms that are moderately close to the tracks over by Northgate so I'm sure some people had issues sleeping.

It was never really an issue for me b/c I've always lived in small towns that had trains go through so I was already pretty used to hearing the horn blasts.

NC State has an ugly urban campus, but I like the actual school and their athletic department.

I've been on an actual in person tour of their campus, no Google Earth involved.
Also toured UNC, Duke, Wake Forest and Elon while in North Carolina

I never been to any of those campus but my wife has been to both Duke and UNC and she said the Duke is really nice. She said UNC had a few nice areas but she considered it overrated.

The only big campus I've been on are: South Carolina, Clemson, UGA, Notre Dame, and flew over Texas. I thought UGA and ND were the nicest. Also, talking about railroads, I think UGA has one the goes by the campus.

you think every UNC and NC State alumni and donor is a fan of leftwing leaders at the ACC and NCAA? the NCAA and ACC people were booed at UNC's championship ceremony. given what has happened to Target's bottom line ever. since they went with a transgendered bathroom policy, probalby not a good idea for ACC and NCAA to keep playing politics. boycotts can be a two way street. .

They may not care but they care about their legacy and position in the ACC.
This may surprise you since you appear to be a french shy of a happy meal but Target is being affected by Amazon and online sales not the protest actions of some religious and right wing fringe idiots.

it has nothing to do with religion. you leftwing creeps hide behind these kind of accusations b/c the reality is you want easy access to female facilities. Our position has to do with female safety and expectation of gender privacy in restrooms.

you have no issue telling women who are past rape victims that they have to be comfortable with men in their restrooms. you want to boss around women and little girls on this issue but then you try to present yourself as progressive. lol the reality is you are a caveman

If you think a man can be a woman, something that is biologically impossible, a delusion, you are the one with intelligence issues, not me. you are whining about rights for a group of people that cannot exist biologically. you are literally insane but calling me and others with my view 'fringe'.

Target began to struggle soon after the transgender bathroom policy was implemented.

the NC GOP has several other bills that are targeted at stopping future blackmail by the NCAA and ACC, including taking away their tax exempt status, given they are basically political groups now. Don't get mad when the bullied respond to the bullies with force. pulling UNC and NCSU most likely will not have to happen because of these other bills that they are pushing.

Duke is really 3 different campuses. most people when they talk up Duke only mean the campus with the gothic architecture, which I don't care for much.

the freshman have to live on a campus next to downtown Durham and ride a bus over to the other two campuses.

looks like the track at Texas AM is better located, more on the edge of the campus. NCSU's is actually two tracks right in the middle of the dorm and classroom area of campus.

the bigger issue for me than train noise is the tunnels seem like prime spot to get mugged especially at night.

I think it is pretty cool. It makes their campus unique. I also forgot that I rode by Georgetown's campus and that campus is very nice.

it is fine, i prefer less ornate architecture myself. i don't really like a lot of greek column buildings either.

have you seen Va Tech's architecture? it is kind of gothic like Duke, not quite as ornate. They use a limestone from quarries in the area.

here is NCSU's 1911 Building, overlooking the Court of the Carolinas.

.

i like the brickwork on this building and several of the older buildings on their campus.

What makes you think the SEC wants to host events in North Carolina?

Because I hope most people in the SEC aren't offended by making people use the freaking bathroom based on the gender God made them. What a joke that outrage is!
