Alabama had over 430 yards of offense last year. I doubt because Alabama sold out to stop LF1.6 is the sole reason Alabama won last year's game.

Just like in 2011 NCG, when you go three and out, because of the run, run, pass, punt syndrome I.e. no balance, no keeping the defense on their heels, the defense gets worn out. In 2011, we had one of the all time great defenses, but they got wore out. If we can throw it, we will beat you. Guaranteed. I can't wait to watch the sad Gumps leave Tiger stadium with their heads hung down. You guys need a little humility.

Bama has beat us the last five years for one reason only.

I agree. The reason is that they have pushed our lines around, been more productive running and passing the ball than we have, lived in our backfield and out coached us at every turn.

I don't why LSU thinks it's a foregone conclusion to beat Wisconsin in Green Bay. Wisconsin is solid with a pretty damn good defense and LSU was lucky as shite that everyone got hurt a couple of years ago or they would have got clocked by the Badgers in Texas

That's going to be a tough game.

Lost QB, top RB, top DB, top LB and top assistant coach. Too many missing pieces to compete at a high level. USC will handle them first game. Unloaded not reloaded.

Can't tell if serious or not.

He's obviously serious. Saban and Alabama have no recent history of recruiting at a high level and reloading year after year despite losing key players

Short stubby corners will have trouble cover big old tiger receivers. 6' 3" are better my man. Remember D. Craig ate Bamas butt while Auburn tiger.

Good lord, this is awful.

Until they lose I don't have a problem with them starting out #1.
That is the thing about the early season polls. It will always favor the historically best teams. (Bama, Ohio St, etc.)

As some suggest, it would be more meaningful to wait until the 4th or 5th week of the season.

Lesser teams must win a bunch to climb the ladder.

But really, the only poll that matters is the one right before the 4 teams are selected for the playoff.

You would get a more objective feel for the strength of the teams if the polls were conducted this way, however part of the allure of CFB is having a concrete ranking in the early games to watch things shake out. It's more interesting to see a #15 Utah beat a #8 Michigan than just to see that Utah beat Michigan.
