As an LSU fan, I hate the OP. Yes, Bama has lost a lot, but they do every year and they still win. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until someone knocks them off. As much as it pains me to say it, they are #1 until they aren't. That being said,

Until dethroned, it will be difficult for the voters to legitimately move then downward. Not even close wins will do it....only loses. So, the Tide reigns supreme until that happens.

I have no idea if we repeat or not. I DO know that I keep getting told every year that there is no way we do and every year we are in the hunt.

I hate posts that start this way. It's as if some of you forget that you could take Saban's time at Bama out of the equation and Bama still has more SEC titles than anyone else. Still has more national titles than anyone else in the conference.
There will be a dip, no doubt, but if LSU can continue to compete at a high level post Saban, then why do some of you assume that Bama won't? I mean, they'll likely hire a top 5-10 coach in the game in Dabo when that time comes.
