And he has won a staggering 112 of those contests. That's a winning percentage of .861. Six of his 18 losses came in the '07 season, with another 3 coming in the '10 season. In the other seven and a half seasons he has been head coach, he has a combined record of 95-9 (.913).

We are witnessing domination on a level that hasn't been seen since Bud Wilkinson or Knute Rockne.

I think we are also seeing one of the poorest periods of QB Play during that same timeframe. The correlation between the two have resulted in a inflated reputation for both the league and the better teams.

The league has seen three Heisman Trophy winners and one Heisman runner-up at the QB position since Saban arrived in '07. So I honestly have no idea what you are talking about.

If you cant separate the fact that there have been a few elite QBs from there have been a majority shitty QBs, there's no helping you. SEC QB play has been terrible in the past decade.

Name the above average QBs in the SEC since 2008.

It really hasn't though

There's been superstars; Russell, Cam, Stafford, Tebow, Manziel

There's been the "very good college" QB's: Mccarron, Murray, Dak, Kelly, Wilson, Allen, Mallett. There have been teams thatve consistently struggled in this department but as a conference QB play has been a far cry from "terrible"

This tells me you are arguing just to argue.

If that's the case then when has SEC QB play ever been good?

Bobby Bowden had a comparable run at Florida State in the '90s but Saban's done it against far better competition.

individual teams have had good QBs, but the league top to bottom has not. Think about 1996. Peyton Manning, Danny Wuerfel, Dameyune Craig, and Tim Couch. Two #1 overall picks and a Heisman trophy winner. Johnny Manziel, Cam Newton, and Tim Tebow never even played in the same season unless you are to count Cam's freshman season when he backed up Tebow. The SEC really has struggled with QB depth throughout the conference since the 90s. Just look through the years of passing leaders in the conference and it's not hard to see that QB play has been lacking, top to bottom, for quite awhile. LINK

And every other position has been elite. Wtf does that have to do with Saban dominating? Why isn't every coach doing it?

So just one year in twenty? Got it. Of the four you mentioned, only Peyton Manning and Danny Wuerffel had eye-popping seasons. The other two were first year players and Couch didn't start at all.

Add Mettenburger to that list.

QB play has been fine.
