If he had 8oz he'd still be in jail. For a while.

Why are people so adamant on defending his actions. I am downright surprised he wasn't arrested. 8 grams is not some tiny amount of weed and in I am guessing most counties in Georgia he would have been booked. Not that I agree or disagree with the pot laws in Georgia but I find it almost comical the amount of deflection and defenses of his actions. He is supposed to be a team leader. He is the star QB at Auburn and this was his second chance and he is riding around with 8grams just living it up. Not exactly living up to that second chance rehab U billing.

So that's $800 for 3 tickets.

Thanks for proving my point, I guess.

Without the prior tickets, you wouldn't have gotten an $800 fine. So that's not $800 for one ticket, it's that much because you got your third.

This is a dumb argument regardless, I said I'd never heard of a $1,000 ticket and I still haven't.

It is what it is. IF you don't like the law and how it was handled, talk to your state Rep and get it changed.

I do the same thing. Feign outrage over a minor offense when it's not my team. So i get where you're coming from.

I think they did take him to jail... he just wasn't booked.
No. He was issued the citation at the scene and released.

Also, for others in this thread grams =/= ounces.

This is a minor offense in almost every state. Had this happened in Alabama, he likely would have been offered a diversion program that if completed would have the charge dismissed. He could then get it expunged from his record.

good lord you are dumb, yes that was the fine for one ticket. Your original point was 1000 fines dont happen for speeding tickets, but please continue to show how delusional you are.

Only our rival fans care about this story.

I think he's stupid, but I don't think he's "bad." I hope Gus makes his life shitty and then he goes out and wins a bunch of games.

F you Aubies. The Police Chief said "8 to 10 ounces". Get your head out of your asses and stop blowing football players.

Read it!

Because it was less than an ounce, they didn't arrest Marshall.
