Now we wait for him to pay his debt to Auburn.

The fine Nick Marshall faced for his citation for possession of marijuana earlier this month has been paid, according to authorities.

Reynolds Police Department Chief Lonnie Holder said Marshall's mother, Shalena Cliett, paid the approximately $1,100 fine ($1,000 for the possession of marijuana charge, $100 for a window tint) on Wednesday.

Yeah, certainly enough to last a couple of days.

In the south you are very lucky not to go to jail for 8 grams.

That would last me about two months, but then again I smoke like a bird eats.

In Texas, you would get the death penalty for that amount.

In Texas, that puts you in jail.

No community service at all? That's the worst part to any consequence. Having to be somewhere I don't want to be.

No probation or substance abuse class? Dudes off like I figured he would be.

I think it is. Not sure if they have a field sobriety test for being stoned.

I think they did take him to jail... he just wasn't booked. Issued the citation and released.
