No hate to the Aggie fans; but their continued media love is hilarious. This is a 2-loss team (both losses being at Home) with wins over: Rice, Sam Houston State, SMU, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. They barely beat Ole Miss, and they let an absolutely horrendous Arkansas team score 33 in a game they only won by 12. Florida, Bama, and USCar held that team to a combined 17 points.

Face it; A&M's ranking is all Manziel. If they didn't have that media poster-boy on the team you'd be looking at a team that maybe gets Top 20-25 votes with their resume.

I am interested to see how next season plays out for them. They got extremely cocky after last years performance. They are coming back to earth this season. They are whining like bitches about it, but reality is starting to set in. Next season they may be in deep shite.

How is aTm(5-2) ahead of Auburn(6-1)?

The popularity/marketability of a player should not play a role in the process of ranking teams on the supposed basis of their on-field resumes. That is the whole point.

Glad we put that lot out of the discussion once and for all.

Face it: This team does have Johnny Manziel, and the alternate reality of which you speak is irrelevant.

And what about Johnny's on field resume are you confused about?

We have the greatest college football player of all time. We are capable of beating more teams than Auburn is.

And what makes you think it does?

Having JFF on our team means teams must necessarily score over 40 to beat us. While that's not an impossible task against this putrid D, most teams--even those in the top 25--can't be expected to do that. Most teams can't e expected to beat JFF. That's why we're ranked where we are.

Jesus man. You won. You should be filled with glee, but instead you're criticizing the completely justified praise and adoration JFF receives.

The on-field resume in which his team has 2 losses AT HOME, with the "highlight victory" being a 3-point win over inconsistent-as-hell, 3-loss Ole Miss?

Thats it. You have literally not beaten anyone else. Your other in-conference victory came against an Arkansas team that is now getting curb-stomped by everyone they play; yet you somehow managed to let them drop 30+ on you. By the way; Arkansas' 33 points in that game is their second highest all year, second only to the 34 points they scored against Louisiana-Lafayette. They scored less points against Samford, and winless Southern Miss.

Like I said: the resume is that of a fringe Top 25 team. Yet the marketability/media hype of Manziel is earning you a hilariously inflated "ranking".

By the way; these rankings are TEAM rankings. Not QB-Accomplishment rankings. Not Offensive-Accomplishment rankings. Manziel's accomplishments are admirable and noteworthy. His offensive accomplishments however should not truncate the obvious resume-flaws that his TEAM has shown to date. Most notably; 1) a lack of significant wins, and 2) two in-conference losses on home-field.

if A&M went 14-0, would you not say they won the national title because "well, if they didn't have JFF..."
