He was getting a buy-out anyway if he was fired. With resigning, he was renegotiate his buyout to terms that are more favorable for both parties. He was going to be fired so he resigned and renegotiated. He didn't have to and if he wanted to stick it to UF, he would have just waited it out and collected the money.

He's a good dude.

What the fukk does that have to do with being a good football coach? We need a good football coach, NOT a good man. The only reason everyone likes Muschump is because he loses often. Our rivals love Muscramp. They absolutely hate to see him go. The only people disappointed today are opposing fans. People usually despise the great coaches (Saban, Meyer, Spurrier, etc.)

Mustychump was hired to win football games. He failed miserably. I'm sure he can find a job as a prison chaplain some day.

Sure, those 2 national titles, SEC championships, Heisman trophy winner, numerous players in the NFL really hurt the program.

Florida and Muschamp did the right thing they're giving the assistants a chance to find jobs.

I hate these people that celebrate coaches being fired though.

You must be related to Muschamp???

You certainly are not a "good" UF fan.

Go ahead and explain the above without making a fool of yourself any more than you already have with the 30 year comment.

30 years??? Come on dude. That's way too emotionally charged. Do you think 3 days from now you can support that comment logically? No. You won't be able to do so.

That sucks. I hate to see us lose auto-wins like this.

Wow - UF football has been run into the ground. Unbelievable, negative records being broken week after week, Fan apathy is at its lowest in 35 years and you hate the people who want more out of the football team?

Try attending a few games each year. It costs me, like most out of town Gator fans, ~$3k a pop to travel and watch the games. Do you really think we deserve a horseshite effort every week? I know a bunch of folks who have stopped attending, dropped season tickets because of Muschamp. We have become a clown school in our most beloved sports and you want to give him a lifetime contract???

No one wants to see someone get fired but this should have been done a year ago.

I'm not emotional at all. I'm very clear. Can you logically explain how Muschamp has not destroyed this program any worst than another head coach? Can you honestly give an example of someone else?

I hate coaching changes, but it needed to be done. Absolutely have no idea who Foley will target. Not a lot of great, young up and coming coaches as far as I can see.
