Same shite different year and has been happening every year since he was hired. I am about 7 years removed from worrying about this crap.

It really does amaze me how much the national media is concerned about Dan Mullen's career.

How many years did it take for people to stop linking Frank Beamer to every job after he brought VT to prominence?

He doesn't want to go to a big SEC school. Why would any coach with Saban still here. I bet Dan jumps at ND though. He would kill it there.

Has Mullen done his time? Should he get out this year or next?

Oh look Texas schools flexing their cocks about how much money they have, yet they can't field decent athletics.

He's not going anywhere. we have 1 senior on defense and 2 on offense. We will go 11-1 at worst next year.

Why would Dennis Dodd have any idea what A&M wants?

Who knows?

But for a guy that is begging to get out of Starkville and has been linked to every opening by the media and Ole Miss Fans for the past 7 years.... seems kinda odd.

Also, mullen is an excellent coach, but I hope we don't take him.

If Morris has a good year this year, then I say we shift that direction, if not, we should go after Kyle Whittingham. He already consideres A&M his destination job and the only one he's actually interested in due to family.

A&M if they fire Sumlin, will end up going the coordinator route.

No prominent SEC school has offered him publicly to my knowledge, I don't know what he's waiting for though. He's hit his ceiling at State.

Mullen also told me himself that yell leaders are stupid and he doesn't want any part of that tradition.

That is because no prominent SEC School makes offers publicly. When you do you end up with Coach O.

What ceiling is that?

It saddens me that LSU is stuck with that guy, the SEC is better when LSU, Bama, UGA and Florida are firing on all cylinders.

The SEC is better when all SEC Schools are firing on all cylinders.

Poaching Coaches from other SEC Schools is not the way to go about it. That's why you haven't really seen it since the whole Pine Box incident.

At best

Are you dumb enough to believe the amount of money a university system has makes it a better job?

If so some of the Ivy leage schools likely had to turn down Saban several times as they make A&M look downright poor in comparison.

This is the common Aggie talking point and is perhaps the dumbest one of all to make.

Mullen wins the West this year, leaves for Notre Dame.

He then hands the keys off to his New Hampshire buddy Chip Kelly.
