Yea you should. He's an early enrollee and graduates in 16 days. How many schools are bringing on early enrollees this late? He's been committed since May and from the way it looks, he hasn't been pursuing other schools. Could be wrong but if that's the case, this is fricked up in a major way.

I think it's funny just because of how Mullen and co. react if a committed kid visits another school. Comes across as pretty hypocritical.

Mullen hasn't been able to recruit against A&M, especially in Texas, but if he did, this would be great ammo.

That is some highly unimpressive film.

I was joking before with the 'he gone' theory...but seriously....and this is nothing new...but

Mullen has to know that his stock could possibly NEVER be this high again. If he ever wanted to get out of Starkville, NOW is the time.

Next controversy surrounding this kid and Mullen will be how State fans are mad at him for taking a recruit with him.

I guess you don't realize how tight the Texas HS Coaches Association members are?

June Jones refused to recruit Texas QB's.
He gone.

A HS coach can't stop a college from recruiting someone but they can "create" obstacles to make like difficult.

Ask Dennis Francione.

Any way you slice it this was a crap move by Mullen. Even doing this a month ago would have been much better because now the kid is essentially graduating in 2 weeks and his HS team in playoffs. If he doesn't win this weekend he won't even have another chance for other college coaches to see him play and who knows how many coaches can make it out to see him on short notice. He had a nice offer list long ago before he committed but who knows if any of those offers still exist. He also won't get a chance to take Official Visits or check out those schools if they are interested. The kid is going to have to pray he can still get a decent offer and likely has to take it with at best a very rushed evaluation process.

Asking an EE to greyshirt is ridiculous.

Chason Virgil-Ht: 6-2 | Wt: 170

Nick Tiano: Ht: 6-5 | Wt: 230

No brainer; it sucks for the kid but he had ASU and Clemson on his list, he will be fine.

I did. Which is the main reason I said it. Dropping a kid two weeks before he's supposed to be joining your program for someone else is fricking disgraceful, pure and simple. He obviously has no loyalty, shame, or code of ethics.

"A decommitment in my mind and in the media's mind is different," Mullen said. "A commitment in my mind is someone that is always going to come to Mississippi State, and if you are visiting other schools, then that means you are not committed, in my opinion."

When asked what should be the term for a prospect who commits yet continues to take visits, Mullen said, "I don't know. Maybe a reservation."
