It'll be interesting to see if State can hold on to their current recruits. I know OM wants Lewis, Burnside and Hibbler. Burnside is a priority.

We just lost PJ Woodland who is a top 5 player in the state. He lost his 4th star when he committed to MSU, but that's normal. I doubt we get him back. Hibbler and Stonka are fine, I don't know about Lewis.

Please stop with this drivel. We are six games into the season and you are advocating for the coach to be fired today. Do you realize what you just typed out?

Yes I do. Anyone with a brain can see what’s coming

Last year about this time you were probably wanting Leach to be fired. But thankfully he was not fired and we went on to win 9 games.

We were 5-1 at this point last year so no

Arnett should have had the interim tag. Your AD sucks. Plain and simple as that. He went with a budget hire and refuses to really push the NIL. You have your version of Pete Boone. The sooner you change ADs, the better.

Our current AD didn’t hire Arnett. That was the interim AD Bracky Brett after Cohen left for Auburn

The new AD was hired well after the Arnett hire was made

It’s our defense that is awful

They made a 3rd string QB from western Michigan look all world. That's hard to do for an SEC defense.

The Ole Miss fan in me wants to see you guys hold onto this for as long as possible(not because I'm an arse...because it obviously benefits us in recruiting). But even if you don't fire Arnett mid-season, you should start calling up ol' Jimmy and start talking to prospective coaches.

13 consecutive bowl game streak that’s in jeopardy this season along with several 8-9 win seasons and the occasional 10 win season that was started under Mullen. Our down years were 6-6 while good years were 8-10 wins

We are staring down the barrel at the return of 4-8 (1-7) with the occasional 7-5 team that we saw from 2001-2009

Devil's advocate here.....one of those bowl games was a 5-win season.

Obviously y'all's team had to go through a horrible situation, but I'm honestly very shocked at what has happened this year. MSU seemed to return most of their significant players from the past few seasons who have all had great careers and won some big games.

There has to be a purpose and reason for nearly every playcall. dont have useless pieces of an offense that arent utilized (TE), and have a qb that knows the system. we have none of those things, yet, we are doing meh offensively. this is the worst defense ive seen in a very long time at mississippi state...maybe the worst one ever in my fanhood lifetime (30 years). defense is why we arent competitive. offense has had its problems, but the defense is a complete abomination.

Following the loss of 10 and 9 win seasons and the loss of Dak Prescott. Then we won 9 the next year

I know it can’t be easy on you fan’s losing your beloved coach having to start over.
Players having to learn a new system

MSU probably does need to start looking for someone else

They do, but he's 62 years old which is older than Leach was when he passed away. I feel State will go for someone in the 45-50 year old range with experience as a HC

The Egg Bowl ended up giving us the same record. I'm not trying to shite talk. We were both dogshit that season. Not sure why you're getting so pressed over it.

Agreed, but I'm more pissed in the fact that we gave Arnett a 4 year deal instead of just making him interim HC with a chance to win the job for a contract. He's the least experienced HC in the SEC in 25 years.

With Arnett’s. Coaching to the strengths of the team, wouldn’t surprise me a bit if we come out the rest of the season running the wishbone.
