Sure, as long as you don't mind not winning titles.

I as just looking for that.
Winning % over same period puts us at 6.

Definitely has the most potential, IMO.
With the amount of talent that comes out of Georgia, recruiting should probably be the easiest out of all SEC schools, including LSU - and way easier than Bama. They also don't have a formidable in-state opponent, unlike Alabama and Florida.

If you go by official records, bammer has had to forfeit 26 games over the last 40 years for being such gigantic cheaters
Posted on 4/27/15 at 8:58 am to nebraskafaninwi
I'm guessing this doesn't include the vacted wins from 05-07 (21 wins) or the ones 1993 (8 wins)

I was wrong in my previous post. Bammer has actually had to forfeit 30 games over the last 40 years for being such gigantic cheaters

Ray Perkins, Bill Curry, Mike DuBose, Coach Fran, and Mike Shula are not surprised.
But in the last 40 years Bama had its only undefeated coach too, so it isn't all bad news. That Mike Price statue on the East side of Brian Dennehy is really well done.

Why would it? Alabama didn't win those games.

this is such a lazy argument. True there is only one other "major" school in state, but you do realize that gt, clemson, UT, SC, bama, and AU are all within a 4 hour drive of athens, and UF and FSU are both an hour or so from the state line. It's easy to say that bama has such "in state competition", but it's only 20 miles shorter from auburn to tuscaloosa as auburn to athens.

We had more points then the other team at the end of the game. We won it on the field.

Given the way we recruit FL, NC, TN, and are beginning to recruit MS, LA, and MD, yeah we're starting to destroy in recruiting even moreso than our normal top 10 average.

You're right, we have Bama, UF, Clemson, FSU, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, and LSU to regularly contend with. Occasionally, Notre Dame, USCw, and Stanford.
Geographically, GA is unlike most any other heavily recruited state in that it's not as spread out as TX or CA and it is almost entirely surrounded unlike FL. Couple this with the fact that the metro ATL area is mostly transient kids from yankee families (or inner city kids with no natural allegiance) and it's basically fair game. We do remarkably well in-state considering.

Does that include all of the games we've had to forfeit/vacate?
Posted on 4/27/15 at 9:12 am to nebraskafaninwi
Damn just looked up the 30 years from 1975 to 2004. Tennessee was tied with bama for 9th place. The last few years killed us

Well, now you're just lying.

It excluded vacated games. Bama's total games played in that period is sgnificantly less than the top of the list.
