Joe Sewell was coaching Alabama baseball until 1971. He was elected to the HoF in 1977.

I doubt his college coaching career weighed on the decision to vote him in. There is a separate hall of fame for college baseball, afterall.

The experts say Frank Thomas is the first and only SEC product in the hall of fame. Sorry bud, but you're wrong here.

There will be more from the sec to make the hall of fame in baseball. Frank thomas just got inducted in 2014, he hasn't played in a long time. There will be more. I agree though, that is amazing we only hAve 1 all time.

Fun fact, former Carolina coach Bobby Richardson was the only player from a losing team to ever win a World Series MVP award. He also officiated Mickey mantle's funeral

Not to be salty, but this is just plain Nutt's. Ole Miss' Dexter McCluster rushed for 282 yards and 324 all purpose yards against Tennessee in route to a 42-17 Rebel win '03 against the Vololololols.

THIS IS THE MOST RUSHING YARDS EVER GIVEN UP BY THE VOLUNTEERS.

It was former Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron's first return to Oxford as defensive line coach for the Vols after being fired by Ole Miss.

The Rebs finished with 492 yards of total offense, 359 on the ground, and 500 all purpose yaw yaws from the Tennessee sideline.

Pop Warner's first head coaching jobs were Iowa State and Georgia... both in which he coached in the same year (at the age of 24).

SEC football scheduling quirk-

LSU never faced Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker or Peyton Manning on the field, and that was before the SEC expanded to 14. Bo and Herschel were before the league expanded to 12.

Georgia football has a better record against Auburn in the last 11 years (9-2) than they do against Vanderbilt (8-3).

And Dennis Felton has won a conference championship more recently than Mark Richt.
