Seriously? US News rankings?
You might as well use a magic 8 ball.

US News rankings

I tend to agree but these magazines are being bought by HS parents and you find them in the HS college advising office. Their overall validity may have little value based on how they rank but they are being used none the less.

That's why all the UC satellite campuses (UC Davis, UC Irvine, etc.) are all so overrated, because they all review each other as if they're all Berkely.

UC-Davis

quote:

Admission to UC Davis is rated as "more selective" by U.S. News and World Report.[59] For Fall 2013, UC Davis received 55,833 freshmen applications; 23,049 were admitted (41.3%).[57] The average GPA of the enrolled freshmen was 3.99, while the middle 50% range of SAT scores were 510-640 for critical reading, 570-700 for math, and 540-650 for writing.

UC-Irvine

quote:

UC Irvine is categorized by U.S. News & World Report as "more selective" for college admissions ratings within the United States.[73] It is the fourth-most selective University of California campus, as measured by the ratio of admitted students to applicants (behind UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UC San Diego).[74] UC Irvine received 66,508 applications for admission to the Fall 2014 incoming freshman class; 23,573 were admitted (35.4%).[75] Fall 2012 admitted freshman applicants had an average high school GPA of 4.02, an average ACT Composite score of 27, and an average combined SAT score of 1844 (average SAT scores of 588 for Critical Reading, 645 for Mathematics, and 611 for Writing).

Folks in MS do refer to OM as the "Harvard of the South" which cracks me up. Even their out of state students laugh at that. Plus, OM likes to give off a UVA type of attitude which can drive other SEC fans crazy.

It's called dillusion. And no, 'folks in MS' don't call them that, OM people who's internet doesn't cross state lines say that.
A guy that I graduated HS with, in rural MS, was a solid C student in a very small school. He partied his way through OM and came away with a law degree. ...tells me all I need to know.

Congrats to MSU, you've pushed Ole Miss to dumbest school in the SEC!

And I haven't seen it mentioned, but A&M has a Law School. We bought one.

Anyone know how it's progressing? Believe it was Texas Weslyan school of law or something like that.

Also, for some reason, I think A&M owns the Baylor Dental School or something to that effect. I'll see if I can dig something up.

But pretty much, if you want a great degree for your money, can't beat A&M. Almost every field is nationally accepted, and the Aggie network can keep you very happy.

I have always thought UF far above average, and have come to see that expectation throughout my travels, so not sure I agree with that guys statement.

However, he completely missed the fact that the other Aggie stated it depended on the field. Obviously stuck up, rat-race living jews will see our football teams and instantly think "dumb jock school". Much like we don't field Rowing teams and crap like that.

We play sports, drink beer, fruck our women and make money.

Northerners do only one of those 4.

Moral of the story: Go to Ole Miss if you want to be summarily viewed as a drunk racist.

I disagree with this.
According to CJ Johnson and Laquon Treadwell, the girls at OM aren't racist at all.

We call Texas Tech the "Harvard of the Plains", but it's not a compliment at all. It's not a joke for them. It's sad.

Did they beat anyone in the SEC?

I didn't know OM only accepted women and black athletes.

It's what my buddy told me about NY. Said it's a rat-race life, where everyone in the firm is out to stab you in the back for your position and it's run by Jewish money.

What's wrong about it?
