he only reason Mizzou was giving the honor of being part of the SEC was that is one part of the TV market the SEC wanted to crack. If we wanted to just add a solid program it would had been Clemson, FL state, VT, Georgia tech just to name a few

You can say that again.

Zero and zero. They haven't even been to a BCS bowl in those 48 wins.

If you are legitimately citing BCS bowl appearances as a method to determine quality football programs in the past few years, then you are a moron.
UConn went to a fricking BCS bowl at 8-5.
Mizzou had a 12 win season and got hosed by the BCS.
Mizzou also had three 10+ win seasons in the past five years.

Didn't the Mizzou brass actually want to get into the Big 10 or was that just rumor?

We did because anything was better than the Big 12. But we did not think we could have gotten into the SEC. There were tens of thousands of emails sent by fans and students to go to the SEC. No Grassroots effort to pressure administration to go to the Big Ten.

There were a lot of people in the administration (mostly academic side) that wanted the Big 10 a few years ago.

Why bother, these clowns are sitting there with a full cup already, they can't absorb new information and adjust viewpoints.

We had to settle for our second choice, which was the SEC.

shite happens.

Looks like the SEC and Mizzou both had to settle for less in the end.

-Growing football program

Growing much more and faster as a result of joining the SEC. Mizzou just got sexier to recruits in the Midwest.

-Moderate athletic facilities

Another thing that will vastly improve as a result of joining the conference.

-More culturally similar than most other legitimate expansion options

Couldn't be further from the truth. Now, you're just trying TOO hard.

UK fans get a little testy when talking about Mizzou. Be kind and understanding. They just went from the 11th best football team in the SEC to the 13th over the summer. A little understanding and compassion is in order.

Hate to break it to you, but none of my posts have been motivated by sensitivity. We Kentucky fans know our place in SEC football. You apparently don't know yours yet.

You have earned the title of doormat.

Jury is still out on Mizzou.

Lets play the games first and see where things lay out.

I have understood that you are just fricking with people. I am just way too excited for tomorrow. Or is this about the Yankee State thing?

May be very true. At least you get more money, improvements, recruits, exposure, etc. Va Tech or North Carolina would have been a better fit. You fit better in the BigXII or Big10. At least you bring KC and St. Louis to the table.

You and Stripes need to have a meeting and get your talking points worked out. I'm getting mixed signals.

Wanted SEC.
Wanted Big 10.
Didn't want SEC.
Didn't want Big 10.

Was the MAC not hiring?

Listen to the Kentucky fan, even though they will own you in Basketball. We give you the right to lead the SEC in wrestling.
