Wow. I've just lurked and read the board for a while now.

Mizzou fans seem worse than A&M fans.

On a serious note, what has Mizzou accomplished in football that is so significant in the modern day?

I just want to understand where all the bravado comes from.

MU was horrible in the 90s, like pathetic.

They haven't won a bcs game, even though they were ranked #1 in the country in 2007 going into the Big12 championship game, lost to OU. And got snubbed from a BCS game, they took KU who we beat that year.

Guess all we have to hang our hats on is we've been one of the best teams in the nation the last 5 years, and a solid one since early 2000s.

Mizzou better have a back up plan for punting. Their Yankee ways will be broken

They might. Missouri joined the East at the perfect time. UF, UT, & UG aren't exactly clicking on all cylinders. But we all know how dominant they can be. Main problem for Missouri will be recruiting.

The only reason Mizzou was selected was for the TV market, not that you are solid in anything. We already have teams that are more than just solid

Guys come on.. you're supposed to be the smartest fan bases in college football.

I'll educate you quick on Missouri's recruiting.

Bc they were so bad in the 90s kids grew up not loving Mizzou, thats changing.

Missouri actually produces a couple blue chippers every year, and a solid number of good players. They grab 10-12 solid in state players every year and throw in a couple from their out of state pipelines and they are set.

Missouri doesn't get credit for producing solid prospects bc they have scattered around the country in the past, thats changing.

They just got the #1 WR and OG in the nation last year. They went into FLA and got a kid that was going to play a lot as a FR but broke his hand, might redshirt him now bc of so much WR depth.

The fact is in the statement itself. The have been One of the best teams in the past 5 years. If you take all division's of football, total all the wins, and take the bottom 55 divide by 2, round to the nearest 10th and subtract 25, than Mizzou would be near the middle of a 120 team scale which translate to one of the best teams in the past 5 years.

This is not something new. FL is so large we can support the three big schools, UCF and USF.

We have 3 star kids coming out of our ears. They all can't stay in state.
