Staying over on Tallapoosa, and I can't believe I'm in Alabama. This district is posh as frick, just went to The Alley and felt like I was in Manhattan or something. Nice hotels, good bars, hot women. Why have you Aubs been keeping this place a secret?

Well, it's interesting to hear from someone who's obviously smoked crack tonight.

The Alley is pretty new and nice. A much needed source of night life downtown.

Montgomery is like they took all of the worst parts of Memphis and made a small city out of it.

it's not great for college kids and younger but if you can hit the bars and drink you can have fun. South and West Montgomery are thugged out, no doubt, but the rest of it is still alright.

If you will be out late tonight, hit up Sous La Terre. It doesn't open til after midnight. Music should start around 2 AM.

ETA: It's across the street from the Hampton Inn.

I spent many of my formative years in 'the Gump'. It should be donated to the Ivory Coast.

I think the best bars in Montgomery are in Cloverdale.
