Monroe is LSU country, as caller from there said in finebaum this eve don't expect anyone up there to do anything to minimize this for Alabama and cam Robinson

On the other hand, I suspect that the Alabama connection is likely to have little impact on the DA's decisions on this case positively or negatively. I would expect the DA to evaluate this case in the same light he would for anyone of the same age, lack of criminal record, and other factors, etc. Everything else is pure speculation through the lenses of football fans and sports writers/commentators who know little or nothing about the criminal system, and especially how the local DA works his cases.

True, I'm just saying cam Robinson isn't getting benefit of the doubt or any favors.
Nor should he.

You leave Louisiana and LSU for Alabama, come back and get In trouble? You made your bed, sleep in it.

Whether he plays football or not IF he did not hurt anyone and he only bought a stolen gun then he doesn't deserve felony charge. If he broke in to someone's residence or assaulted someone to obtain the weapon throw the book at him.

Obviously I hope he continues to play football at Alabama but regardless of his college future in football I really would hate to see someone 19 -20 yrs old ruined because of idiocy.

You're a sad human being. So what a kid left his home state to go to a school your fan base doesn't particularly like, BFD. People like you have some serious issues - it's like nationalism but for a state school.....looks like Aggie and the barn might have a new friend in the cult-Ish corner

Might as well throw your own fanbase on that list too.

isn't really the job of the DAs office to make sure someone doesn't have a felony on their record.

There are a lot of acts that could be classified as a felony but probably should be a misdemeanor. The DA applying sound judgment on charges is needed

Possession of a stolen firearm isn't borderline misdemeanor. That is a felony and a huge fricking deal.

You totally missed the whole point. I'm referring to the op's title. He clearly stated that it was the attorney's belief. The title is perfectly fine for what is included in the article.

No, you missed it.

The attorney said it's possible, not that he thought it would happen. What he said is what he believes, unless he's lying. Thread title was misleading saying he believed something he didn't say and therefore, apparently, didn't believe.

I'm sad?

LOL, like your gump arse wouldn't feel same way should this be an auburn Alabama situation instead of Louisiana.

Dude fricked up, pay the price.
You wouldn't GAF if he didn't play football and was a direct piece in Bamas success this year.
You not fooling anyone pal. Own it.

Well, no shite. I haven't met too many attorneys that didn't believe there was an argument to be made.

I'm not a lawyer but how would you ever dismiss a felony gun charge without throwing your cops under the bus? You would have to say that they didn't do something correctly wouldn't you?

I can see it being bumped to a misdemeanor if the gun wasn't stolen but with it being stolen I would think you have a tough time reducing it.

We'd all be better served if we just wait to see what transpires regarding all this instead of all this guessing, wishing and drugstore lawyering...don't y'all think?

this is a culmination of jilted lovers syndrome, 21-0, and losing 5 straight to Bama. You're over there licking your chops hoping and praying something bad happens. it really is a pathetic way to live. you're right i wouldnt GAF if he didnt play for Bama, 1) i dont pay attention to Monroe LA legal issuses 2) well i dont have a number 2 but obviously i wouldnt GAF if they didnt pay for bama and more than likely wouldnt even know it happened.

Completely different situation. Dyer got punished and kicked off the team and it wasn't the same staff that took him back. So let Cam get kicked off the team and have to suffer for his crime then let the next staff bring him back and then we'll compare.
