We are extremely hard to defend. If you play man, Buckner and Holloway especially can win the one on one battle down low. If you play zone, Henderson and Williams will light you up from outside. We are vulnerable if Buckner. Holloway or Sunmers get in foul trouble.
I was down on this team and AK after the Indiana St. debacle but if we make FT's and have good shot selection this team has a high ceiling.

Also looks like despite the Rant mentality y'all actually have some people who care about bball. I think it's a crock that everyone around here just claims they don't care about it, it's because their teams suck donkey dick.

Ole Miss will beat up on the lesser teams like Tennessee, Kentcuky, and Vandy, but has no chance aganist Mizzou

Most people (bama, lsu) on the rant dont care about basketball unless their team is good or playing well that week

Btw as an aside I think Ross Bjork was a great hire as your AD, met him while he was here and thought he was a great guy and very enthusiastic
Yes, I've said the same thing. Ross is a great guy, and I think he'll do a fantastic job at Ole Miss. He's very sharp, and truly a good person too.

I feel like ole miss does a good job of supporting all 3 of the big 3 sports. Mizzou needs to pick it up in baseball but it'll always be an uphill battle with 2 pro baseball teams in the state, both of which have a better atmosphere and venue (even though the royals are generally pathetic. )

I would say it is a likely win for Ole Miss at this point. Lawrence Bowers being out is bad, but it gets worse. Criswell, Bowers's very capable backup, might play but reports from practice are that it wouldn't matter if he did play. He isn't effective with the cast he is currently sporting. So we are essentially w/out a 4 spot player on the roster.
Along with that, we only have one PG because the other had to transfer. Our best freshman, who is a talented 6'11" shooting guard can't really play because of acid reflux (wtf? right?).
I don't see how Mizzou can pull this one out. We don't have the guys we need to rebound like we had been and we just don't shoot well enough to win from the outside. Ole Miss will have to have an off night for Mizzou to make it out alive.

I don't know man, the tad pad is very loud when its full, kentucky hasn't won there in its last 2 tries when they've been top 10.
It might look like a space ship but Kennedy's Rebs defend it very well, and this is the most complete team he's had.

Yeah. I think it's a close game but I'm puttin this one in the expected loss column. It would've been a good win on the road at full strength and we aren't.
Now if Bell, Ross and Brown play up to capability, we can still pull it out. Just haven't seen them all on in the same game.

Well, the grown-ups are trying to have a legit basketball discussion, so if you could wait until a little later to bring out your flamethrower, that would be great.
Ole Miss basically destroyed Tennessee last night, they have a good team. I don't think this weekend will be easy, and actually think we'll be really lucky to win.

For sure. OM fans are just itching to be good at anything, and show up in droves when we have the slightest glimmer of hope. Also we take a lot of pride in top notch atmospheres, as you can see with the grove and swayze field. Our new basketball arena will help out a lot too.
I think what you see with some historically successful football schools is that the football success sets the bar so high that other sports success isn't satisfying enough.

Dmagic I put Ole Miss chance of winning this weekend at
0.0000001 % due to Bowers being out
0.0000001 % due to Bowers being out
