OK, Internet Tough Guy. After reading a few of your posts, it's clear I "know" what anybody else who has read a few of your posts "knows".

You hate Pinkel and want him fired. Save yourself and the rest of us the next 200 posts repeating the same thing. Unless you are a Super Donor who actually calls the shots on firing coaches.

No, not really. Look at what Tenn does- recruits out of its state. I imagine an elite recruiter at Mizzou would clean out Illinois and make a dent into Ohio.

You really are clueless about recruiting. Mizzou gets a lot of good players from Illinois. Mauk is from Ohio.

Next.

that's true then he's been lucky as hell that Mo has average kids like Sheldon Richardson, Maclin, Ealy, and now kids like Lock and TBJ. Programs in states with far FAR less talent have done more.

So over the last 10 years Missouri has produced a handful of elite players? There's that many 5 stars in Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, Florida every year.

haven't you heard yet? "Stars don't matter"

we're talking about coaches in states with FAR LESS talent, like Iowa and kansas, that have won conferences and the fact that Mizzou is the ONLY Div 1 program in a state with more talent than they have.

Being an expert on watching a mediocre coach (Muschamp), I have to say that if I were Mizzou I'd want him outta there at this point. The offense is absolutely abysmal.

They say that the OC should be fired, maybe Oline, but man at Florida we tried that. Quite a bit. We went through three OC's until we found out that the problem was greater than we anticipated.

Scoring a combined 12 points in three games suggests more than a bad OC.

6 First Downs TOTAL against Georgia?

Muschamp was like Dooley. No matter how many quality hires they made with assistants the problem was always them. It blows my mind thinking about the number of good coordinators and assistants those two went through.

I think Mizzou has a serious talent deficit in their offensive personnel - GP and staff dropped the ball bigtime at some point in recruiting but even that doesn't explain zero touchdowns.

When was the last time Mizzou had a serious offense? Their first year?

They caught lightning in a bottle the last 2 years. I expect them to be in the realm of Vandy, UK, and SCAR historically moving forward. They should of went to the big TEN. That's closer to their true competition level.

I think it's time for Henson to go. Pinkel? No. He is fine.

You do realize that with a halfway competent offense this year, we are probably undefeated right now... Right?

Mizzou will compete more times than not. Pinkel has been pretty consistent since about 2006.

And with a halfway decent defense we'd have been National Champs in 2012.

Most of those years were in mediocre conference with zero defense. Its easy to win with 2 & 3* stars.. In the SEC you need great recruiters and a good to great coach to win. Miz has none of those.

We had a great offense in 2013. IMO that was the best team we've had under GP, we just really didn't match up well with Auburn in Atlanta.

I can't even fathom people wanting GP out of the program. The guy has brought us from an Iowa State caliber program to competing for SEC championships.

I really think the only thing preventing us from really getting over the hump is our recruiting. No head coach could bring in top 10 classes with our facilities, not to mention our location relative to other SEC schools. However GP recognizes the facility issue, and has been pushing hard for upgrades. With that being said it's clear that GP and his staff can spot and develop underrated talent. Still, it's hard to win with a roster made up of 3 stars, and the occasional 4 or 5 star sprinkled in. My hope is that once we upgrade our facilities, we'll be able to consistently recruit at a top 15ish level, while still developing a few overlooked guys, like we currently do.

My point is that GP has done a pretty incredible job to this point however the only way to avoid a plateau, is by improving on areas of the program (mainly facilities). You don't need a new coach to do that, just a lot of cash and support from the school.

We used to say Stars didn't matter when we had Dooley. Oh we were getting 'diamonds in the rough' but the truth was we were getting players who didn't belong in the conference.

Mizzou has won by playing solid, fundamental football. But here's the thing about that, you can only get away with that when others are making mistakes or the talent is somewhat even. It's not a long term recipe.

It's plain as day to anyone who's watched or looked at your roster that you don't have the skill players on offense you need. That's killing you.

Defense, OTOH, doesn't show that deficit as much but defense is a funny thing. It doesn't require a team of 5*s to be solid but it certainly helps.

I'm still sick that offense ever was wasted under Dooley so I honestly do feel your pain. We had the passing equivalent of Bo on Tecmo Bowl and couldn't win games because our D might as well have not been on the field.
