Anybody can win at Alabama with the player pool they recruiit from. Meyer would be a better coach at bammer because he would recruit a good qb.

1. A whopping 25% of Alabama's 2015 class was from the state of Alabama.

2. Even your average Auburn fan knows that Florida is a helluva lot more fertile recruiting ground than Alabama.

You're just not very smart, are you?

Has Saban ever had a player throw a public temper tantrum the way Elliot did after the MSU game? If so, I don't think it was at Bama.

Meyer will never be on the short list of great coaches. He's done some really sh*tty coaching jobs with some great talented teams that have under performed. Urban doesn't discipline his players - provide character by example or even integrity to an acceptable standard. He doesn't make in-game adjustments well. Meyer sticks to his gameplan whether it's working or not. He's married to one philosophy like Barry Switzer - and Switzer was a very good coach but he's nowhere near the GOAT. Meyer recruits well and depends on athleticism to get the job done. He's not a great tactician or scheming genius like Saban. The 3 biggest knocks on Meyer are he's morally corrupt, he doesn't make proper evaluation of players skills and best position or status in their role, and his personal integrity has always been a liability.

Meyer can't be considered great until he sticks some place and has sustained success. There really is only one other coach in the conversation with Saban and that is Bryant.
