Maybe getting other guys reps? It will be tough breaking in a new QB and your leading returning WR had 7 catches.
Why didn't we think about that before. Damn. Here we were trying to win games.
So stupid of us.

So you think you couldn't win the game spreading the ball out more?

Probably would have been a good idea against Alabama

I honestly forgot about Aaron Murray, why no love for Murray from any analysts? He's got a strong arm and he's an accurate passer. Great 3rd round pick IMO.

Mett threw a TD to the 3rd WR against Bama but it didn't help.

Who may have a better pro career than the other three.

Maybe.
Do you think Bama would have beat AU if you had a different QB? Or what about OU?

I never even got to see that game

NFL maybe but college Murray > Mett and McCarron

They say it's his size but Brees is pretty damn good

Ok, well your graph isn't going to keep JFF from being a top 5 pick or prevent McHandoff from going in the third.

Out of the three, AJ McCarron threw the ball less than 10 yards more than any of them.

quote:we would have beaten au and ou if we had flip flopped our offensive strategies for the games. au's secondary and linebackers suck balls, so of course we run tj yeldon (who goes down much too easily) right into the best part of their defense, the dline. OU could do nothing against derrick henry, so in response we stop feeding it him and try to throw all over the place while not bringing a tight end or rb over to chip that little 209lb linebacker who kept beating kouandjio around the edge, and turn the ball over 5 times. if you dont think alabama should have easily won both of the games you know nothing about football. even with all the miscues and crappy play calling, we outgained both teams by 100 yards. And this is why nussmeier is gone. He was good at game planning, was lost when the flow of the game required adjustments. Not surprising, since he only had planning duties at Washington, and Sark called the plays.
Maybe. Do you think Bama would have beat AU if you had a different QB? Or what about OU?

I'm not sure you could come up with a more worthless ranking system if you tried.
The data they're comparing is apples to oranges immediately before they even start measuring it. Comparing different QBs by the numbers playing in different offenses versus different defenses is impossible.
Then they invent some backwards system where they compare it by percentages and average them all together and voila, a ranking!
It's nonsense. There's a reason nobody has ever heard of the author or this ranking system.

What I do know is: Scoreboard.... At least, that is what the fricking scoring system is for.
Better team won both times. That is 100% football.
Its like the LSU - Bama game. LSU basically threw the game away in the 1st half. Yea, could have been different, but in the end the better team won that day.
DWI....

FIFY. Otherwise how do you explain:
Auburn > Alabama > LSU > Auburn > Alabama > LSU...etc.
Best team doesn't always win, but I'm a also not stupid enough to think that makes a loss easier to swallow. Probably makes it tougher, in fact.
