Man if only someone had all the similar praise from the Anthony Grant hire to compare. 
I like the little general, but home run is thrown around too indiscriminately these days.

We hired a football coach that had not walked a college campus on a daily basis for 20 years or so. Did not go too well for us. So his friends like him and all but his college coaching ability is an absolute unknown. Maybe it was a "home run" but he doesn't coach Gaspard's team. He coaches basketball.

It is not even all the media. It is Tim Brando. A guy bammers said sucked up until he had positive things to say about this hire.

The media also said that Saban was a home run hire for Bama. We see how that one turned out.

They use that one a lot. I haven't seen the "AJ won a NC as a first year starter so Blake Sims will also" used much lately.
