Penn State's defense because it's the only D that Bama has played that's anywhere near LSU, relatively speaking

Is that better?

Penn State has played three offenses in a row that are at least average (all average around 28 ppg) and held 2 of the three to well below their season averages. And that's with a terrible offense that constantly puts the defense in bad position (with the Northwestern game being the exception).

First off, Penn St. is currently 7-1 and probably won't win another game this year. Their record is more a product of their schedule. They have not beat any team considered to be good.

Secondly, AJ M has yet to face ANY defense like he will see from LSU. He has had the luxury of handing off to TR and getting seperation from opponents through the running game.

Third, This game can go either teams way. I think they are really a push. LSU forces more turnovers and gives up less turnovers than Bama. IMHO, Bama's D is better than LSU's because they are better coached in that area. LSU's Offense is more versatile with more playmakers on that side of the ball.

This will be a good game and it will finally be settled. I just don't think that Bama will fare well if AJ is forced to make plays. Atleast JL and JJ have both made plays to win for LSU in the past.

Their defense is good enough to play with just about anyone. If they fade down the stretch it will be because of their offense. Though if they have another game like they did against NW I might reconsider.

I agree with most of this.

Penn State is 7-1 because of their defense.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the following:
Indiana State (1aa)
Temple (35 in Total Offense) (63 in PPG)
Eastern Michigan (79 in Total Offense)(105 in PPG)
Indiana (53 in Total Offense) (99 in PPG)
Iowa (68 in Total Offense) (29 in PPG)
Purdue (73 in Total Offense) (62 in PPG)
Northwestern (60 in Total Offense) (67 in PPG)

Look at all of those powerhouses. Any team will look like they have an elite defense playing against that kind of competition. Quit fooling yourself, Penn State's defense isn't even close to LSU.

I hope the team thinks they're playing against Penn States defense again too!

Man, Bammers are analyzing the living shite of every little detail.

1) That shite doesn't mean anything. Making yourself feel better about Bama's chances aren't going to affect anything.

2) Get a fricking life. There's more to life than analyzing every little detail from a team of 18-23 YOs.

So basically AJ is not a great QB? He's pretty much an avg SEC QB, which aint saying much.

Damn, what a find.

Man it sucks that LSU had to play on that field. What field did they let Penn St. play on?

Sure, I also remember what LSU did to Bama in 2010.

LSu won by 3 points and it took 2 Bama turnovers, one blown coverage by our 2 first year starter CB's (not gonna happen this year) and lucky arse fake field goal. Bama will not make those mistakes this year. 24-13 Bama.

All of this is really irrelevant, AJ isnt a bad QB, he is just young and will be prone to mistakes if put in the position of playing from behind. That is all that mattes really. Has he had to play from behind and make a throw to win a game yet? I am not saying he can't just wondering if he has.

The windows to fit the ball into against LSU will be very small compared to what he has seen so far. Same goes for Lee vs Bama, except that Lee has been there and won before.

What about the field that Bama played Utah on in the Sugar Bowl?

But boy did you ever kick our asses in 08 (when we had our worst team this decade) in OT and then again in 09 with Julio having the long score when Peterson went out and the PI no call. Yea I'm sure those were total arse Kickings by BAMA right?

Come on Lsu people realize the best defense y'all played was the wanna be bulldogs from Mississippi state and they held y'alls potent offense to 19 points I believe correct me if I'm mistaken. So please realize its a evenly matched game Roll Tide.
