To be 7-1 with that shitty offense is beyond a miracle. Alabama's 2005 defense is one of the best I've ever seen, but you would never know it because the offense was beyond awful that year.

You are bringing up a Penn St game from two years ago to tell me that they have an awesome defense which is a good benchmark to judge your QB. I am not sure you made any sort of a point here imo.

That Penn State has a good defense year in and year out. Tom Bradley is an older version of Bud Foster. Just puts a quality product on the field every year. People are tending to judge Penn State on their awful offense.

It's a helluva lot more impressive than a win over a big east team.

Not that an SEC team would ever brag about beating a Bog East team.

What about him going 12-25 for 140 against that florida gator defense?

He did get put in some tough spots, and completed some big passes.

The Oregon win is more impressive than your win over Penn St.

It only makes sense to judge him by the best defense he's gone against. I can do the same for the rest of the games if you want, might take a while though.

Florida wasn't completely inept at that time either. Their defense at least had an offense at that time which could hold onto the football long enough to spare them. Regardless, he finally got to be in a situation where he had to make a tough completion to kill momentum for the other team. Do you honestly not see the value in that for a young QB?

Nobody gives a frick about Oregon. 12 penalties and 4 turnovers. Ark and UGA would push their shite also in that scenario.

Maybe. We will know more as the season progresses. Until last week the WVU win looked like a decent win.

Course none of this matters, nor does it matter how AJ played in his second career start. Even I am confused on how that matters.

Luckily we get to settle it on the field in a cpl weeks.

And I'm not trying to say A.J. is not going to make mistakes. I'm just saying that there are moments this season, against some quality defenses, that can be used to judge him. That's all.

The main concerns I have are AJ giving LSU some easy points and Reuben Randle. If we can win those battles then I think everything will take care of itself.

Penn State's defense because it's the only D that Bama has played that's anywhere near LSU.

I'm sorry your simple mind can't see the point I was trying to make.

Wouldn't think so with some of the idiocy being thrown around here as of late. I guess I should just ignore that portion of any fanbase though
