Bama also didn't get to pad stats and rest up with Utah State, Northwestern State and Georgia Southern on the schedule. Plus they didn't get Vanderbilt on the schedule from the east.

F 2019 LSU. Glad 2020 Bama dropped 55 on them the next season after the 5 point loss to Corndog U.

2020 Alabama took what 2019 LSU did and did it better. GOAT.

Bama fans are hilarious with this debate. Nobody took them serious about their 2020 claim so they’ve had to start dick riding 95 Nebraska.

I could listen to 2001 Miami but the difference in LSU and that 01 Miami team is at QB. The most important position on the field.

Check my post history, my guy. I realize it's a lot to go through but I don't think I've ever backed off my claim that 1995 Nebraska is the greatest college football team of all-time in the nearly 14 years I've been posting here.

I definitely thought 2018 Alabama had a chance to join that conversation but then they struggled to beat Georgia in the SEC Championship Game before losing to Clemson in spectacular fashion in the national title game.

2020 Alabama was a fun season but the close games against Ole Miss and Florida disqualify it from GOAT status.

Why’d you leave Bama off that list?

If LSU fans didn’t question the best team ever they wouldn’t be responding like they do. They know in 2019 they played a severely depleted Bama team. Can you imagine if Burrow had one leg during that game. Bama was missing 5 starters and LSU was completely healthy and still squeaked out a win. I hear LSU fans say 2019 Bama would beat 2020 Bama. It makes them feel better. 2019 Bama loses to 2020 Bama by 14 points due to Tua and his turnovers. 2019 Bama wasn’t even one of Sabans 5 best teams. 2019 Bama loses to 2020 Bama, 2015 Bama, 2011 Bama, 2012 Bama and probably loses to 2009 Bama. Tua turntheballova was great until a big game came up. Hell, Bama wouldn’t have beaten UGA in the sec championship had he not gotten hurt.

Average Margin of Victory in CFP + SECCG

2019 LSU - 25.3

2020 Alabama - 17

No one played on one leg.

Alabama fan myth.

If you were actually honest with yourself, you would realize LSU was missing just as many starters as Alabama and they lost another one during the game.

dude, frick off. I called alabama fans out for disparaging their competition in a year that they said they played the hardest schedule EVAR in front of dozens of people. and there you are in your OPs...not even your posts.

It is sorta wild that 3 of the very best national champions were in back-to-back-to-back seasons from 2018-2020.

Guess that is why the last few years it seems like cfb is weaker...there were some strong teams in that time period.

Because Alabama didn't finish in the final CFP Top 10. We finished #13 in the final CFP rankings that year.

That was the biggest joke I've ever seen too. That ranking was just about placing Alabama such that they wouldn't end up in an NY6 bowl because they figured Alabama interest would be soft and no Tua.

Yeah...I thought it was some bullshite myself dropping from #5 to #13 after a three point loss, on the road, against a Top 15 team. But whatever. It was fun beating down Michigan.

The 2019 LSU team was the best ever imho.

I'm older, I've been around awhile and I saw all the one on the list. They all had their different strengths and weaknesses ... especially at certain positions. They all played different schedules at different times in the evolution of the game.

The 2019 LSU team is, for now, the best team in college football history imho. I doubt I'll see a better one in my lifetime. It was the first time I ever said "this team might beat one or two NFL teams." That's almost always an absolutely ridiculous claim to make ... but it was an applicable possibility when it came to that 2019 LSU team.

Agreed, Bama was easily a top 10 team that season. Tua, four first-round wideouts, and two corners who are now NFL Pro Bowlers.

No one considers that 2020 Bama team top ten let alone no1. Except Bama fans.
