Top five

Had to he hard for Leinart to rank anyone above his own team, but he recognizes true greatness.

I would put LSU #2 behind Miami. It's close, however.

College football has been played for 153 years but the best and most dominant teams of all time all come from the past 28. Got it.

#4 should be 2011 Bama

2020 was only statistically good, because they handled covid protocols better. That's really it.

Every team they faced was extremely depleted.

1995 Nebraska is the most dominant team in history...even more dominant that 2019 LSU.

The most talented/stacked team was 2001 miami. some of the guys on their bench that couldn't even start like frank gore, sean taylor was impressive.

I would not consider any teams pre-integration, as obviously many of the best athletes were not allowed to play. Now if you want to make a case for some team after integration and prior to 1995, go ahead.

Even as an LSU fan, I can agree with this. Disclaimer should be of the BCS/Playoff era. Even then, as recent as 2011, you cant compare the game to what it is today. Is 2019 LSU or 2020 Bama going to put up video game numbers against 2011 Alabama or LSU?

All the former big12 additions make fun of how pathetic Texas’ and OU’s schedules are that include most teams that you see on that 95 Nebraska schedule.

Like, some boys all-a-sudden came out the woodwork in February 2020 to talk about this nebraska football team it pained them that much to see LSU at No 1.

Bama fans lead the charge on this. They leg hump that 95 Nebraska schedule and team because the truth hurts……..2019 LSU football s the best ever.
