Alabama has had some years where their future NFL rostered players was immense

Like 2018. Look at all talent we had on the roster:

Tua Tagovailoa
Mac Jones
Jalen Hurts
Damien Harris
Najee Harris
Josh Jacobs
Jerry Jeudy
DeVonta Smith
Henry Ruggs III
Jaylen Waddle
Jonah Williams
Alex Leatherwood
Jedrick Wills
Irv Smith Jr.
Raekwon Davis
Quinnen Williams
Patrick Surtain II
Xavier McKinney

All of the above went in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft. They got blown out in the national championship game by Clemson.

I like to compare teams to what the game was like at the time. It is pointless to think a team from the 80’s could compete with teams today. I think it is most dominate team and those 2 are the 95 Nebraska and 19 LSU. Watched both and the 95 Huskers were more dominate on the field. I fricking hate Nebraska even worse then kU but that team steamrolled every team was never pushed even once.

As a Florida fan, I'm still seeking counseling about that '95 Huskers team. Best team of all time in my opinion.

I can't really even be mad about losing to LSU in 2019. That was a legitimately great team that just beat you. They straight up just played better.

Only one team in the past 17 years on it.

Still recent in the context of 130 years of college football. Bama in 1966 went 11-0, 6-0 SEC, shut out six teams and only allowed 54 points all year, for an average of 4.9 points per game. Beat #6 Nebraska 34-7 in the Sugar Bowl. Only undefeated, untied team in the country. Still only finished #3 (punishment for not being integrated).

Young folks, tsk, tsk.

Are you saying that a team that couldn’t even begin the season on time with five wins was as good as Clemson?

Well that 2020 Ohio St team did, indeed, beat the brakes off Clemson in the CFP 49-28.

Wow, another bad look for you.

A team that barely squeaked by some shite teams during a weak schedule top 3? List is most certainly shite.

And we all know Auburn would’ve beat them that year.

let's make fun of how bad OSU is

lets brag about how easy our remaining games are

even you said it, guy. i understand you'll say, but, but but, you had to go back and look at what i said.

dude, frick off. I called alabama fans out for disparaging their competition in a year that they said they played the hardest schedule EVAR in front of dozens of people. and there you are in your OPs...not even your posts.

Remember, dumbass....people don't need to remember what you said, they can just look it up.

I love when insecure Bama fans make up facts to try to prop up their Covid champs, lol.

Add in the fact that the SEC was awful in 2020 with alot of the star players opting out, empty stadiums etc.. People starting to realize that 2020 bama was not tested and shouldnt even be in the talk for greatest ever. Ten years from now they probably wont even be in the top 10 of greatest ever teams.

It’s very obvious 2020 Alabama being omitted from these type of lists eat at Alabama fans. Sure, not all of these lists of GOAT teams do, but a lot of people do omit them. You won’t see that with the 2019 LSU team. They might not be #1 in everyone’s lists, but they will be there in some form or fashion towards the top.

Meanwhile, 2020 Alabama is sometimes an afterthought in the college football psyche at times. Much like the half-of-a-season Dodgers World Series and the Lakers bubble ring, the big ole * looms large. It bothers the shite out of them

the undefeated 95 Gators beat every team they played by dbl digits that year and we got clobbered by them.

They shut us down and run us over 62-24.

They played and defeated four teams that finished inside the AP Top 10 by an average score of 49-18.

#2 Florida (62-24)
#5 Colorado (44-21)
#7 Kansas State (49-25)
#9 Kansas (41-3)

Considering Florida was just as dominant against a "tougher" schedule, and considering how badly Nebraska beat them in the Fiesta Bowl, what team from 1995 could have beaten them?

Tennessee? They finished #3 that year and their only loss was to Florida (62-37). While I know the transitive property isn't the best thing to go off of, considering Nebraska beat that very same Florida team by 38 points, is there any question how Tennessee likely would have faired against the Cornhuskers in a hypothetical matchup - especially given how Nebraska treated the other four Top 10 opponents they faced? Fourth ranked Florida State likely would have met a similar fate considering they lost by 11 to Florida in the last game of the regular season.
