He couldn't last a quarter with 10 others helping him. But he would have done fine by himself. Sounds legit.

LOIC is a big stretch all that would happen is #2 eligibility and vacated wins. aTm won't get hit with anything unless they covered up for #2 or withheld information from NCAA. From everything I have seen so far aTm and their compliance dept has been a non-story. Play him.

Kudos to the NCAA for the speed on this one.

That's a strange thing to say.

About the same time frame A.J. Green faced. Both investigations started in the summer. UGA sat Green for the 1st game and the NCAA gave him the 4 game suspension a few days later.

All insider reports are mixed on what will happen but one thing is consistent. They have not found a "smoking gun" or paper trail to show Manziel received money. So if they suspend him it will be solely that he signed autographs that he knew were going to be sold for money by someone else (assuming they have proof he signed the thousands of things that the sources who won't come forward say he did). I just can't imagine the NCAA really wants to go there and if they do it will be a very light suspension.

I think Johnny plays Saturday and doesn't miss a game.

Johnny told them he didn't do it.

They probably discussed more than autographs in the six hour meeting. I would imagine the Manziels brought up the possibility of lawsuits from profiting from JFF's likeness, among other things, in the case that the NCAA ruling was unfavorable.

Also, the NCAA leaking information that they grilled Manziel for six hours makes it appear that they genuinely investigated the situation and will reduce backlash from the public when they announce JFF is good to play.

Colt McCoy could have beaten Bama that year by himself.

Colt McCoy didn't play defense. It was Texas'#1 ranked rushing defense that gave up over 200 yards on the ground, and 2 different 100+ yard rushers.

Bama beat dat arse.

Thought this was interesting...

I have instructed Coach Sumlin, his staff and our student-athletes to refrain from commenting on or answering questions regarding the status of our starting quarterback, Johnny Manziel," athletic director Eric Hyman said in a prepared statement.

and then TAMU announces it's decision of whether to tell the NCAA to go frick themselves or not.

They did that last week, so the NCAA came to visit in person this week.

The NCAA has been waiting for a 2nd tier program to slap around for the misgivings of SC, Ohio St, Penn State, etc.

The aggys have sat up on the pinball machine for them.
