I agree. The concept of vacated wins is bogus anyway.

just b/c they make a recommendation Wednesday (not entirely convinced this is gonna happen, btw), that doesn't mean we will all know the answer Wednesday.

If Manziel takes the field vs. rice in four days, we'll know.

as long as manziel lies there's nothing the ncaa can do to him.

Unless he is caught in the lie. Hell, Russell Shepard was suspended for 3 games for telling a teammate what the NCAA asked him.

If they play him when the NCAA recommends that they don't, then it also becomes an institutional issue and not just a player issue. LOIC can set a program back for years.

Yeah cause A&M is poor.

A&M will fall in line just like every program that that the NCAA punishes.

An NCAA recommendation doesn't automatically equate to LOIC if A&M chooses to play him. The only way the school actually gets punished is if the NCAA can prove that they knew about JFF's dealings and helped hide it from the NCAA.

The worst possible scenario for A&M is vacating wins, and that is hardly a deterrent.

I don't see how the NCAA can charge LOIC simply because A&M doesn't follow a recommendation. If it's meant to carry weight, it needs to be a rule or something.

I really hope A&M sacks up and does it. Someone needs to do it.

Clearly they don't have all the answers at this point. You really want to create a situation where the NCAA mandates that players are ineligible due to suspicion? That's one hell of a slippery slope.

Pretty sure they let him play. They let Cam play, they will let JFF play. Money > rules.

The rules are not right, but they are still the rules. NCAA has been pretty weak ever since the Penn State deal though.
