I definitely feel that way about Dallas. Fort Worth seems to be a little more Aggie.

I wouldn't want to live in Austin if for no other reason than I've been told its impossible to live there any length of time without essentially being forced to go to Texas athletic events either through work, friends, etc. Plus, your kids will almost certainly grow up Texas fans.

We used to nearly have riots when we did yell practice on the steps of the Capital before the t.u. games there in Austin.

Yeah I used to get into "minor altercations" when I would sing the fight song when they played eyes of texas in the bars there.

Lots of Sikeston and Kennett people come to school at OM... At least they did back when I was in Oxford.

I've always been shocked at how rarely TCU fills up their stadium. They are the ONLY team of any kind in the 15th largest city in America and had a great ten year run before entering the Big XII. Plus their stadium is nice as shite.

No way UT is ahead of Ole Miss in Memphis.

It's probably been 5+ years since I've been to Memphis so I wouldn't be shocked with the pre existing fan base + what's been added with the recent upswing.

Memphis/West TN would have better described the area. I would almost guarantee the area from Memphis to Dyersburg, Dyersburg to Clarksville, Clarksville to Columbia and all the cities in that area has a million + in Vols.

The truth is, when TN is winning in football a ton of Univ of Memphis fans put on their orange and then put in blue once basketball season starts... But since TN has been so bad lately they wear their Tiger Blue year round... So lame.

Yeah I was just thinking of what schools people go to from Memphis. Ole Miss was the easy #1. I forgot about how many people I know who go to Memphis are Tennessee fans on the side.

What is scary is there is a growing number of Mississippi State fans, because you can go to school there basically for free if you get above a 24 on your ACT.

Halftime of the Kansas game last year

That's the Big XII's "upgrade" over us and Mizzu.

Jackson and Delta area are predominately State while everything North is Ole Miss. The coast is shared between both schools competing with USM.

10-12 years ago it seemed Jackson was more evenly split between Ole Miss and State. Things may have changed since I lived there.

The north Delta seems to have a few more Ole Miss fans than south of Hwy. 6. Proximity, I guess.

Further south in Mississippi, and particularly southwest Mississippi and the Coast, there's a lot of LSU fans, as well.

The number of LSU stickers on cars with USM parking stickers in Hattiesburg is mind boggling. They like to scream about how USM can kick State and Ole Miss's arse, then skip the USM game to go to an LSU game. Or even better, they wear their LSU attire to USM games and tell you the same.

In high school I was informed I wasn't allowed to go to Mizzou because it was too much of a party school.

So I went to Ole Miss.

I have a friend here at Mizzou who is from Steele in Pemiscot County...I can hardly understand her. The southern drawl is unbelievable

Only town in Arkansas that's probably not 90+ percent Hogs is maybe Jonesboro. But really just about any native Arkansas roots for the Hogs if they are someone who follows sports.

Texarkana has t-sips and Aggies on both sides of the border. At least so I'm told.
