LSU is more than a one trick pony. If JJ earns the start this year over Mett, then I'm behind him.

(I personally think Mett is gonna blow up spring and LSU will be a force to be reckoned with with him at the helm of our O next season)

Mettenberger baby.

But either way, we expect our QBs to be better with a new OC. Why shouldn't we expect that? Even so, we won NCs in 2003 and 2007 without superstar QB play, so I'm quite confident we can do it in 2011.

Don't know what you're implying by that because Arkansas is more balanced than LSU, and will be again next season.

If JJ earns the start over Methenberger, and then loses an early game with poor #'s, the fans will be calling for Methenberger. Meth is an unknown, but he couldn't be worse than JJ.

You realize we have a new OC, right?

That statement had nothing to do with Arky. It had everything to do with the fact that LSU will have 2 QBs fighting it out for the start. We won't depend on JJ next year as we have in the past. He runs hot and cold for sure. When he's cold, its tough. When he's hot, the team is near unbeatable.

Actually that shows that you are NOT the more balanced team lol

I would rather have Arky's stats, but if you're going by balance only LSU was the more balanced team

If you want to hold it against Arkansas that we can't help but go for 80 yards at a time sometimes through the air, and that's why there's so many passing yards, then I guess you can.

Arkansas was more balanced b/c you have to respect the pass and run equally, not so with LSU.

Again, I don't understand how you don't see what a flaw it is to just assume that our offense will be the exact same next year considering we have a new coordinator.

And if by more balanced, you mean a more complete team, then you are even further off-base

Is there a bell that goes off in the TRant when someone types Flagship?

Alabama didn't respect our passing game and look how that ended up...and they had a much, much better defense than did Arky.

I just put a ceiling on how much Krag can do in one off-season, and how much Miles wants to change things. Mett might get the nod, but right now he is an unknown.

I don't see LSU's defense or special teams being any better than last year's team. Hard to replace Peterson and Jasper.

Not to give them anymore props, but look what ONE player, QB, did for AU...

So yes, a new OC and a new QB with a cannon arm can make a worlds difference. Given the talent on our team, we don't need a world beater QB, we just need a more consistent one.

First: csb

Second: What are you somking? You had a decent running game only because of your really good quarterback. You will not have the same luxury this year. Knile Davis is no where near as good as y'all make him out to be. A few of your brethren even compared him to TR = D E L U S I O N A L!
