I think yall are mistaking 1 week upset hype for true elite staying power. After this coming saturday TAMU will be forgotten about. Certainly by Jan 1st. LSU is elite in the college football world. TAMU is an also ran. Bowl committees know this. Sponsors know this. We will be the at large choice. Yall might get to play yalls big bro in the cotton bowl though.

Griffin last year played in the Dirty Little Creek Alamo Bowl.
You might be the least informed poster on this board for thinking that a team that has a breakout Heisman performer gives them the nod of a team that has been at the center of the College Football landscape in a BCS Bowl bid.
If the player isn't in NC contention, their campaign has nothing to do with what bowl they go to.
You aggies are new to this BCS stuff though.

Also it has been interesting living in Austin and seeing how little A&M matters to the average UT fan. I haven't heard them talk about the aggies really at all. Log on here though and just about every A&M thread has some UT envy underpinnings. It's understandable though, they are The University of Texas. They are in one of the best cities in the country (conversely, College Station is one of the worst) and are thought of by everyone outside the aggie bubble as inherently superior to A&M in every way possible (also should be noted that A&M isn't UT's #1 rival by a longshot). It would bother me too, I get it.

FWIW LSU also has the highest rated regular season game of the 2012 season as well even after Saturday.
And yes that outcome was eerily similar to 2012 LSU vs aTm..... We made y'all quit bro.
