And no I don't think that. But I do think without 4 NFL starters, 3 of whom are stars, we have half that 3rd down % and our offense is not nearly as efficient.

What about the offense we had in 2011? Who are all the stars from that offense?

Somehow I knew this would be the answer.

We didn't say it. The coach and Brandon said it. Its when he got nailed throwing the TD and came off the field limping.

I hope Cam stays on the field. You really saw a difference in game management. Less false starts, delay of games. Snaps were made with 10+ seconds left on clock. BH got rattled and Cam was right there to settle him down.

Actually Harris said he didn't know when it happened.

So yes, you guys did say it.

We had the best defense in our program's history and 4 great college RBs and because of those 2 things we had twice as good of a turnover margin as the #2 team (Bama) in the SEC and absolutely controlled games.

Our offense absolutely started to fricking suck at the end of the year and without Tyrann Mathieu we lose Arkansas and Georgia in the SEC title game.

Do we still not know how to use per game numbers on the SECr? I realize cajunbama is borderline retarded, but the rest of you don't have an excuse.

I like how LSU fans are trying to talk themselves into believing this is a good idea

I think LSU fans know they can always fall back on Auburn paying LSU to take their substandard coaches off LSU's hands. If he fails next year, I expect Auburn to do LSU another solid and hire him for more money while paying his buyout.

You're right, my bad. The press reported that.

Either way, tigerdroppings didn't make that up.

Has nothing to do with how well we moved the ball most games.

2 games, one of which was against one of the best defenses in college. I know you're dodging the point because it hurts your argument, but you could at least try to not be so oblivious.

What's my point?

That our offense will not be elite no matter who our coordinator is? That's all I've said.

depends on your definition of "elite". i wouldn't consider any of bama's offenses "elite" either

What SEC offenses have been elite? Teams in this league aren't going to average 45 points and 550 yards per game. It's never going to happen on any sort of consistent basis.

That's top half of the conference with the best offensive player in LSUs history. Seems reasonable to give the man an extension.

5 of the starters were underclassmen, including the "best offensive player in LSU's history".

I'd say Cam deserves another year to work with that group.

You implied we only have success in offense when we have NFL stars on the team. What stars did we have in 2011 when we were moving the ball very efficiently and putting up lots of points? You've dodged this question for a while.
