Look, he was either hurt and it affected his performance and AJ should have been given a shot.

So, every player who's injured, but can still play through it, should be benched for the backup?

Harris played through the hernia just like most athletes that get them do. That doesn't change the fact that he was playing though pain and it undoubtedly affected his performance, to an extent.

Seriously guys, please stop proudly displaying your ignorance.

yeah...starting a backup QB has never hampered a teams offense before.

Gotta make a choice don't you, Choc? Most teams play their back-up if they think their starter will hurt the team.

OK. Everything else is just an excuse.

Please show where I used the hernia as an excuse....I'll wait.

All I said was having a QB without one will help Cam's offense. That's not making an excuse, that's a fact.

With Mett, Jeremy Hill, OBJ, and Jarvis leading the nation and shattering the school record for 3rd down %.

let me try to slow it down and explain it to you...

Harris at 70% is better than AJ at 100%....but Harris at 70% is not good enough to beat really good teams.

better?

I'm guessing Les meddled in all offenses except this one, right?

Thank you for making my point! This points to a lack of development by Cam Cameron and the excuse should not be used to try and give him an out.

Do you expect a backup to be just as capable as the starter? Did you see what happened to yall against Ole Miss when Coker didn't start?

do we really have a choice

If they are simply renewing his contract and not giving him a raise, I don't see what the big deal is. Cam isn't the problem, Les Miles is. LSU has had 4 different OCs under Les, and the offense has looked basically the same under all of them. The one common denominator is Les Miles

A little hypocritical here huh?

And no I don't think that. But I do think without 4 NFL starters, 3 of whom are stars, we have half that 3rd down % and our offense is not nearly as efficient.

- Mett was behind only Manziel in the SEC in long passing plays that year
- We had the #1 passing offense in the league
- We had nearly DOUBLE our 3rd down conversion % of the last 2 years with the same coordinator

Pair that with being 2nd to last in penalties, 5th on TFL allowed, and 9th in first downs, means we did make some plays to get those 3rd downs so often that most teams can't make.

One guy didn't play as well as Kiffin wanted, so he replaced him with a guy that played his arse off. Sounds like the opposite of what happened with Cam and Les.

Why does the truth bother you? It's not an excuse for losing, but it did happen.
