TBI is bad news, your brain will heal but it heals slowly. It took me three years to get back to 'normal' after my last head injury.

Nasty stuff.

Even then I wasn't the same, no one is really. With every injury you lose a little bit of yourself. That's the hardest part.

Damn, that's awful, hate it for the kid. Hanging it up is never a fun experience, but especially nit when it happens like this.

That sucks, hate to see a player get hurt so badly playing the game we all love. My thoughts are with Wiliford and his family.

Damn I had a pretty bad concussion in high school ball but luckily after I recovered initially I haven't felt any effects. It's definitely scary though. Hopefully he turns out alright.

Very sad for this young man. My most sincere and heart felt prayers for a fast recovery and a healthy, happy and long life whether that includes this great game or not.

I have a nephew who had to cut his college career short due to too many concussions. He made the adjustment and just picked up his first OC gig at a Div III school after 3 years moving up through the GA ranks at the DIV I school he played at. Things look good for him and his coaching future.

Sad day for Tiger Nation.

It really is time to make some helmet changes.

I hate to hear that. He was truly living a dream. I remember he was lightly recruited from a small private school in Dothan, but Miles gave him a shot and he earned it.

It is really heart warming to see that, although everyone here bitches and argues all day, when something like this happens we really are on the same team.

He reportedely worked like a maniac and had a fantatsic attitude resulting in what was developing into a real good career at LSU. On the flip side kids like him usually succeed in whatever they choose to accomplish.

hope he recovers and never plays again, gets a degree and has a great life outside football. Concussions are not to be trifled with imo. 5 minutes is crazy. The next one could very well kill him.
