Is that pretty much it or are those just the highlights?
That really is not a lot of construction in comparison to others. surely there are more, right

Pretty much this. LSU isn't exactly receiving or pumping out the most educated of folks.

Since you seem to be such a prick, why dont you match my post with Auburn

How much have they built this century? in regards to new buildings.
Unlike the rest of the faceless, McMansioned, strip-malled US, Louisianians actually appreciate old things, historic buildings.

I also forgot to mention two on campus living dorms that were built:

None of this is going to matter soon. The next big bubble is the University bubble. Its heavily subsidized by government and hugely overvalued.
My brother spent many years in college and has several degrees and struggled to find a white collar job and is finally making $40k/year at 30+ years old. My wife went to beauty school for 6K (paid for by gov. grants) and within 4 years was making $55K+ and 6 years later was making $80K+.
People going to votec can come out as an HVAC tech or auto mechanic and startout making $50K+. Its also WAY easier to start your own blue-collar company than white-collar company and then youll be rolling dough.
People are paying way too much for a college education for little ROI in a tight white-collar job market. Its a bubble waiting to burst and all these pork barrel University construction projects are going to look like a total waste of money.

You got a link for that?

LSU athletics to transfer $10 million to university to provide 'vital resources'

LSU's athletic department announced Monday that it'll transfer $10 million to the university -- about $3 million more than its required payment. LSU’s main campus receives a guaranteed $7.2 million from its athletics program each year, according to the athletics funds transfer policy approved by the Board of Supervisors in 2012. In a news release, the athletic department said a surplus this year allowed for an additional $2.85 million to be given to the university.

LSU is one of only seven athletic departments in the country that relies solely on self-generated revenue and doesn't take student fees. The other schools are Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Nebraska and Purdue.

Our university academic fund raising is objectively terrible. I haven't received a mailer/phone call from LSU in almost 10 years.
My wife receives them all the time from her Alma mater, probably every month. Even when we move they find her.
Anecdotal, but I've heard the same from other grads. If you don't make constant contact it is hard to raise money.

No, it really isn't the case at many schools.

Since 2000, Auburn has built roughly 4.7 million square ft of new non athletic space on campus. We currently have 5 new buildings under construction with a few more under renovation and we have 2 new buildings about to start and 2 renos about to start.

If it wouldn't have taken those retards 10 years to renovate the union I might donate more.

Don't blame them.
the egg heads that complain about this are probably the same idiots that ran Sean O'Keefe out of town years ago, despite his fund raising acumen.

Except the newest and most spectacular buildings at UA don't belong to athletics, UA is constantly upgrading, and building new buildings for academics.
