In all honesty, they were in an alcohol stupor for 5-6 years. How do you expect them to remember anything?

"they"?
It was 25-30 years ago, and I remember.

Looking at the charts, we don't know because Bama won't give us their numbers. Is there something in the link talking about it?
But it is pretty sad that the university is broke and y'all gave more money to athletics.

All I got from this thread are that Bench McElroy and Riseupfromtherubble are the same person. Why else would one answer a question that was asked of the other?

Notably, the University of Alabama -- LSU's archrival -- does not disclose financial information for any university or athletic fundraising. Nonprofit organizations like foundations are generally required to fill out tax forms which disclose contributions, assets and salaries. But Alabama does not do so, citing its affiliation with a governmental entity. The school also refused to comply with a public-records request and did not respond to questions from The Advocate.
I always found this strange and surprised other schools do not take this position, especially Auburn.

So is this where people talk about how our facilities are falling apart, and nobody mentions that we just built a multi million state of the art center for our Business department?

Yeah, that's a tiny percentage of the university.
Middleton needs to be demolished and rebuilt somewhere else.
All of the buildings around the Quad are in serious need of repair.
There's an on-campus housing shortage.

Pretty much this. LSU isn't exactly receiving or pumping out the most educated of folks.

How much have they built this century? in regards to new buildings.

Jesus, man, can you not read? I JUST posted that the business school is a small fraction of the university. Even throwing in Engineering, there are needs all over campus.

They got a good start until they got Jindaled.
The school is bleeding, and it's not stopping any time soon. I personally know of 5 tenured professors that have left in the last 6 years to take similar positions for more money at other schools - three of them weren't even guaranteed tenure at their new jobs, but still left.
The academic side of the university is in serious trouble.

Let me get this straight...
Legislation cuts our budget in half, operating budget goes below par. Alumni should pick up the slack? You know how much "slack this is?
Retarded. Thanks jindal

Do not forget about the renovation to the science buildings by the nicolson extension.

They completely renovated the student union, including a massive add on completed in 2011
They added a new set of honors dorms around 2008
They built a huge new Business center as previously mentioned
And this is in the works

Slack? I think maybe on par is better. You guys are in the middle of the pack as far as enrollment(which usually leads to total alumni size) and you are second to last in academic giving, just in front of USC
