First Speedy, now Chavis. Texas A&M just reaches across the border of Lousianna and takes what it wants.

Chavis single-handedly made LSU nationally relevant for the first time in forever you would think they would be a little more grateful

Yeah, those two seasons 2008 and 2009 when LSU was irrelevant were really miserable. That was definitely forever. Damn that dry spell.

2007= national champs.
2010= ranked in the top 10.

Chavis was instrumental in giving LSU its best football season - 2011.

He had a all pro defense. Probably one of the best ever in SEC history. It had little to do with Chavis.

Frankly, I'm surprised. Chavis was instrumental in giving LSU its best football season - 2011. I would have expected more gratitude from LSU.

Please tell me you aren't that stupid...

The logic is blinding. And for the people mad he was recruiting for us in January - he was on vacation. You don't have your vacations micromanaged.

Noone is mad that he stole a ULL recruit in January, his "recruiting" in Jan. didnt help aTm or hurt LSU, like Aggie expected it to. Kinda funny one of the Jan. Pics of Chavis was with Kris Boyd........who went to TEXAS.....

But according to you, if your on vacation, during the most important recruiting month of the year, you are VOID from your contract obligations? Just because your on vacation doesn't mean your contractual obligations to your employer are on "hold" I'm sure it was paid vacation right?? You can't be that be dumb........

Please post his contract, you imply that you have intimate knowledge of it.

Thanks

You don't need the physical contract to find out what's in it.

This will all come to light soon enough, so no sense in bickering over it.

But some of y'all's reasoning is pretty funny to read, all things considered.

Diab states that Chavis's contract specifically didn't allow him to visit A&M or recruits while on vacation.....

I just asked to see the contract, obviously he must have a copy

Like all Chavis threads, there sure are some purple and yellow hurt feelings all up in here

You are full blown obsessed with any involving Chavis or Lsu. You need to fricking look in a mirror. I've never seen anything like it.

I didn't see Chavis making plays, sorry. Anyone could have been successful with the amount of talent on that squad. In fact, they probably underperformed.

Agreed about the talent Chavis had to work with, not sure about underperforming.

Any good defensive coordinator would have had success at LSU with the talent.

Chavis is a good coach, LSU brought in a lot of good players. Very well know that recruiting was not a Chavis strong point.

One of his Aggie counterparts started this thread, but LSU is obsessed. Gotcha Sarge, or should I say 'Chief' ????

Of course. Not sure why anyone would expect anything less. The man lacks character and proved that in the manner in which he left LSU.
