This case seems personal more than anything else. The attorney and court fees must be getting near the same as the measly amount of the suit.
Frankly, I'm surprised. Chavis was instrumental in giving LSU its best football season - 2011. I would have expected more gratitude from LSU.

You do know it was Chavis who sued LSU to start all of this, correct?

Well, it wasn't the offense that carried that team.

I normally don't post on this topic but you must be lacking the mental capacity to come to a logical conclusion.
Good luck at life

I didn't see Chavis making plays, sorry. Anyone could have been successful with the amount of talent on that squad. In fact, they probably underperformed.

Dang I thaught it would be a nice departure. Apparently not why are they doing this. If they have any class left they would say goodbye and move on. This is just a bad situation for both party's involved. Why are they suing him in the first place ?

Chavis sued first. LSU just wants the money he owes for being a bitch.

Any fat slob that looked like chef Boyardee could have done what he did with a defensive backfield of Mathieu, Claiborne, Reid, Taylor, Simon, and Brooks.

He was making a pre-emptive strike. Didn't want to wait until 3rd down.

Wouldn't be surprised if the term "being a bitch" was somewhere in your French laws.

What you can expect is LSU to prevail. The original suit was filed in a Texas District Court, do you honestly think we are going to let some dipshit anm hack resolve this?

Again, Chavis sued LSU. They are counter suing to move it to federal court.

I think you've got that backward.
Personal for Chavis. HE started this litigation.
LSU made Chavis a rich man. His only reason for leaving (ostensibly) was that he wanted one more additional year of guaranteed money on his contract.
He may have gotten it had he stayed. But the man ALREADY had 2 years guaranteed. Why so )*&^&*(%#$$&*(^&$^# greedy ??????????????
Chavis accepted another job and was recruiting for his new employer while still under contract in Baton Rouge.
And LSU is supposed to just ACCEPT THAT ?????????
Y'all are some psychotic human beings.....

Pretty sure Chavis sued first to try and establish venue in Texas as opposed to Louisiana. It was a smart ploy on his part. LSU is trying to get it to federal court instead of some Podunk court in Texas to try and eliminate any advantage the venue might give Chavis. Really nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected.
But the argument that Chavis started it is kind of a poor one. It was started when Alleva publicly stated that he would hold Chavis to the buyout. It's not some coincidence that LSU filed their suit the same day. They probably had it ready or close to ready to file and Chavis' lawyers just beat them to the punch.

Chavis is trash. Lying and cheating ever since January. He's tangled up in it and LSU won't just let him get away with it.
