Last year he was the only reason you beat A&M, Ole Miss and Florida. You would have been 1-7 in SEC play if Kevin Steele was your defensive coordinator in 2014.

Probably.

Did I disagree with that? There are other DCs that could do what Chavis did at LSU. We just hired a terrible DC instead.

Its like you kids can't read. I said Chavis leaving hurt us, but it only hurt us because Les hired a fricking dolt to replace him.

They settled for Steele because nobody worth a shite wanted to coach there. So out of the shitty coaches left to pick from Miles chose the one that could recruit the best. Smart move, now they suck on both sides of the ball.

I think it can be argued that Cam has sucked more this year. Your offense is stacked with talent, but has failed miserably against good defenses. Much like A&M's offense, tbh

Cam has been pretty bad, but he's not the reason Les is likely out. Steele breaking the defense in less than 1 year is the reason Les is in this situation.

Cam was a C hire. Steele was an F.

I agree. But I think it was timing more than anything. We were fricked and had to scramble for a DC.

I still want Bob Shoop. Pay him whatever he wants.

Credit for honesty. To be fair, both teams have suffered from poor coordinators this year. Ags admit this with Spav too

Steele deserves a significant amount of the blame.

Oh bull shite. I was irate when they brought in Steele, but he is the least of our worries right now. The defense has been serviceable. It's the special teams and the especially the offense and the OL play that ignited the great LSU dumpster fire of 2015. I know you all want to put the blame on Steele because that gets more lulz with the Chavis situation, but it just isn't reality.

Cam and Steele have similar results yet you see one as a failure because you had an elite DC and an elite DC in the early 00s as well. Your offense was never in the same league so you don't realize or don;t care about its major shortcomings.

One took a bad offense and has made them slightly better. The other took a great defense and made them much, much worse.

It's not really that complicated, to be honest.

You have a best running back probably since Adrian Peterson, a stacked WR corps, good O-Line, talented QB, etc. ....and your offense hasn't done shite against good defenses.

The fact that we are arguing about which side is worse may best signify that Miles is on the way out.

So because you had a Bad O, you're okay with a slightly less bad O? That is ridiculous.

As long as you admit that we were right about aTm still sucking even with Chavis.

But seriously, Les has always needed an elite D to offset his conservative offense that is built to wear out teams at the end of the game and edge them out.

I agree, but a bad offense wasn't going to ever get Les fired unless the defense went to shite too. Too bad for him the Steele hire did just that.

Bad offense is the excuse many people are using, but if LSU's D hadn't regressed so badly Les would likely coach through the end of his contract.

Where did I say it was ok?

I said it was a C hire, as in neutral. No better or worse than what we had before.

The fact you struggle this badly with a simple concept it quite telling....

If you predicted the offense to continue to regress and more QB controversy then good on you. Nice call. I sure didn't expect it.
