Last year he was the only reason you beat A&M, Ole Miss and Florida. You would have been 1-7 in SEC play if Kevin Steele was your defensive coordinator in 2014. You're absolutely delusional to think otherwise.

But I agree Chavis leaving hurt us, but we could have replaced him. We just chose to hire a shitty DC instead.

Do you trust them to make the right decision with Miles replacement?

I think LSU fans will admit this as soon as aggy admits that getting an average defense wasn't the missing variable to their football equation.

Ehh, chavis has 1 linebacker in the NFL that he coached and recruited at LSU. Kwon Alexander. He just got suspended for peds. Chavis has two dlinemen in the NFL he coached and recruited at LSU, ego Ferguson and Danielle Hunter. The Viking said how un prepared Hunter was coming into the NFL.

Say what you want, but that's freaking pathetic for LSU standards. You saw it in 13, the d started to slide because it was all his players. It did in 14 until Les stepped in and forced personnel changes.

All of this, not to mention Chavis had one recruit for the front 7 in the 2015 class. One defensive end. That was it. His fat arse had gotten lazy and needed to go. We just should have gotten someone better than Steele.

Why only start at 08?

Les started in 2005?

Also why don't you chart Chavis' scoring defenses after he left LSU

How many other DCs are out there that average top 10 defenses? Smart, Foster, and after that I'm drawing a blank.

Miles was hamstrung by his assistant contracts. Showed a lack of confidence from the AD. That's the whole reason Chavis walked in the first place.

Kevin Steele is the only person on planet earth who can't succeed with the type of talent that LSU recruits. All of this talent was recruited in spite of John Chavis

LSU is a complete dumpster Fire, but it isn't because of Steele you ingrates. Chavis is using your mediocre arse program to get a few more dollars in the bank before he retires or expires from cardiac arrest. BTW, he's a great recruiter. You're about to find that out

Plenty of LSU fans admitted Chavis was a better coach than Steele.

You'd think with how much they drink in Louisiana, they'd be used to apologizing for their emotional rationalizations for situations... But they are doubling down. Even with Fournette, all their five star WRs, La'el Collins, and Brandon "the most talented QB in the country destined for the NFL" Harris... Their offense has been a joke, and it is somehow the defenses fault. Even when they had that sexual predator from Georgia at QB, Chavis STILL had higher ranked defenses every season than the offense... Yet Chavis was the problem. Chavis units were in the top 25, and mostly the top ten... And yet he was losing them more games than the LSU offense. I think they legitimately believe this. Cajuns, man. Such a peculiar group of people.
