A no name defense, but very good. I like our front 7 except DT. Danielle Hunter, Kwon Alexander, and Jemauria Rasco are all legit. We are waiting for some young DTs there to step up and take charge, but it hasn't happened yet. This game will be a huge test to be sure. IMO, I think this defense, and this team is a year away. You Bullfrogs better get us this year because we are going to be stupid good in 2015 and beyond.

LSU has a lot of talent up front...have you seen Hunter's veins?

I think they will continue to improve as the year goes on, especially with Welter as their leader.

The talent is there, I'm just confused as to why it isn't showing. No reason for LSU/Bama not to have the best defensive front 7 every single year.
Attrition and the NFL draft.

The LSU secondary is outstanding.

This relates to his question about the front 7 how?

LSU is able to man to man on the outside allowing our LB's to concentrate on the run alot more than they would otherwise.

The superiority of our CBs has GREATLY helped out with our front 7. We also bring some of our safeties up to help them out.

Thanks for your input, but anything you say about LSU is a bunch of bologna...

Your lack of knowledge(ignorant) about our front 7 is not surprising, your confidence that none could crack the staring line up at State is less than intelligent(stupid). Thanks for playing, you may return to your doublewide moble home now.

Good answer. I wasn't saying that it doesn't have an effect on the front 7, but just saying that the secondary is good doesn't answer it.

Thank you for your quality post.

Similarity coincidence? I think not. Boutta party like it's 1980 with a version of the same play coach Bellard used to beat LSU 5 years in a row.

hmmm...i'm confused. We only have the #1 rated Defense in the SEC.

Here's the deal. We don't have one standout player, like a Preston Smith. But, they are all getting the job done and getting better with every week. I'll take that anyday over just one stand out player. I tell you one thing they are all strong and verrrrryyyyy fast

It's refreshing to actually have some serious conversation with the Grinders before this game. I'm very excited about it. I'm intrigued to see how much we have improved since Wisconsin, cause a performance like that won't beat MSU.

I think our front 7 is better than people are giving it credit. It is more of a team-oriented attack with role-players. You will learn some linebackers' names Saturday night as they flash through the line of scrimmage very quickly making tackles in the backfield. This may be the fastest LSU defense yet.
