Sigh, I'll bite.

Godchaux would crack the two-deep easily, LaCouture and Thomas would compete. Hunter would start at DE, Rasco would compete but idk if he would start necessarily. Definitely would be on the 2-deep.

Alexander is the second-best linebacker on both teams combined and would absolutely start for State. The rest more or less come down to scheme, Jones and Riley and Louis and Welter all play roles in our scheme but probably wouldn't be major contributors for State. I think.

We can definitely shut down your team, it's happened before and we have the athletes to do it again. Your style is similar to Auburn's, and we haven't had a lot of trouble containing them ever since they brought in the spread.

State is talented and your front seven might even be better than ours as a whole, but our front seven doesn't have to be better than yours to win. Our DEFENSE as a whole - including the best secondary in the country - just has to be better than your offense more than your defense has to be better than our offense. I think they're up to the task.

According to your 24/7 writer your O-Line hasn't been good at anything so far. I'll take his word over yours.

it hasn't been. state should dominate our line...if not that would mean ULM has a better front 7.

It is indeed. It's not your secondary that will be tested.

Any football IQ at all ?

Lock down corners mean everybody else comes to the ball. But yeah, we scared

So, you are going to play man with one safety over the top AND blitz your LBs? That should work well.

Where did I say a damn thing about blitzing our linebackers?

No -- we are going to play conservative zone and force you to "try" to beat us with your arm -- and our front 4 which is going to feature Chris Jones and Preston Smith side by side for the first time this season are going to raise hell if you try to do it more than 5-15 yards a time. We are not a blitz happy defense.

quote:

State isn't going to force the ball out of Jennings' hand early without blitzing. Our O-Line has done great in pass protection this year.

Sacks allowed - t80th
Completion percentage - 106th
Pass YPG - 91st

Yeah -- seems you've been elite up front.

If state only has one safety over the top Dural is going to run by the CB all night.

Dural isn't going to beat us over the top. Not that anyone trusts that you have the ability to look at anything logically after the shite you just said about your pass blocking -- Do you not think that the primary #1 scheme in the passing game is "do not let Dural beat us deep"? You really think we're going to let the obvious beat us? And you really think Jennings can get the ball to him if he did?

That's because we haven't had our 5 best linemen available. They will all be available and healthy for this Saturday

3 WRs with one safety over the top means state would have 7 in the box. You really think that's a smart play by a team that's giving up over 300 yards passing a game?

You really think a stat skew from the UAB game is the reality of the secondary you will be seeing? Not the same scheme nor personnel.

A national top 25 pass D against the best overall passing SEC in decades brings back 7/8ths of it's 2-deep plus the starting safety that was lost for the season in the OK State opener -- and they are terrible and easily exploitable by an OL that's had trouble and a QB at 51%?

Porter missed the first two games due to suspension and Pocic missed the ULM game because of injury.

That's not a spellcheck issue. That is a dumbass issue. And for that brief moment, you made us ALL look like dumbasses.

Is that why the RG is moving to RT?

LSU will run all over you if your main concern is the deep ball.

Our radio guys said they don't believe Hawkins will be replaced. They expect our RG Hoko will be replaced by Pocic, who started at center the first two games.

No one really knows but Les has been alluding to a shakeup on the right side of the line.

Knowing Les he's just messing with us and nothing will change

You do whatever you have too buddy. Whatever it takes to make States secondary look anything other than mediocre.
