Hate them? Respect them? etc...

The reason I ask is because I'm sure the answer was probably much more different circa 2007/2008.

I imagine that there was more vitriol from the LSU fanbase with Saban siding with a division rival at that time compared to now. But, since then, there have been some highly competitive games (although Alabama has achieved great success over LSU in a string of recent contests), there have been alot of crossover with Louisiana athletes playing at Alabama and vice versa, etc., as well as coaching crossover - so the programs are tied together for better or worse.

Has your overall opinion or feelings towards Alabama's football program changed at all since 2007 or do you still feel the same?

Should be in the hunt again per usual

Will the game in November be the Primetime game again for 6 years in a row?

Hate them as much as the other teams in our division but you have to respect what they have done the last several years. The recruiting and coaching have been as good as it's ever been in college football, IMO.

I thought the Kiffin hire would not work but I was certainly proved wrong. They may butt heads in the office but it came together pretty well on the field.

I hate them with every bone in my body. You can combine all of my hate for the rest of the west and it still does not equal the hate for the Alabama Rednecks.

How can you not respect their dominance over the last decade?

If you're a college football fan, it's hard not to respect Alabama football.

My opinion of the Alabama football program is that they rightly deserve the success they have. They've invested heavily in the program, support their program, and have the best head coach in the business.

It is frustrating that they are the obstacle that they are to us when it comes to our own success, but that's just how sports is. They are at the top right now, and we have to compete. If it wasn't Alabama, it would be some other program standing in our way, like Florida or Auburn.

Regarding Saban, I'm not "butthurt" over it any more. He's been there long enough now to where he's "theirs" and it feels like he was never "ours," once. He has no great love for LSU, so there's no reason to reciprocate.

I guess the main feeling is not really jealousy of Alabama for their championships. Much more prevalent is the wish that they just weren't in our way as much as they are.

TLDR version: yeah, I hate 'em. But their success is well earned. Can't say much otherwise.

Until my brother in law started dating a girl from Alabama I really wasn't bothered by Alabama at all. Fact I remember pulling for them in the Sugarbowl to beat Miami. After that 11' beat down and had to hear her blah blah blah the whole freaking game, I could have thrown up in my mouth. Funny part was you couldn't talk to her after we won 9-6!

With that being said she is long gone now, but the scars still linger. frick she even ruined the Sweet Home Alabama song for me now. I turn the station when it comes on and I use to love that damn song.
