I never said he just delegates. I said he doesn't coach DBs. Because he doesn't. He may be piddling around with the DBs at aTm because they're so awful, but I can assure you he is not teaching them anything not already being taught by the position coach.

Why you think your experience at Florida matters in the least in this discussion is baffling to me. It's like arguing that you are an expert on the NFL salary cap because you spent a year sorting financial records for the New England Patriots.

That sounds like wishful thinking, which is fine.

I accepted the rivalry application long ago. I don't blame you for your pessimism.

I fully expect Sumlin to be pushed out of aTm with 3-5 years and for aTm to eventually take their well earned back seat to Texas. I also think that if aTm doesn't win more than 8 games next year, he'll be on the hot seat starting in 2016.

To be fair, that probably makes you an expert at tax evasion.

well let's see

last time we discussed this you said I didn't understand how college football practices work. Now all of a sudden it's just specifically aTm. hmm

do I need to elaborate how it's relevant?

I expect 8 wins in 2015 and 11 in 2016. Chavis won't have a poor defense in year two, and our offense with a really experienced QB will be top three in the league without question.

and I expect 10 wins this year with a RB who makes it to New York

edit for clarity: for LSU. aTm has no RB with Heisman potential.

Given how talented the SEC West is, your QB play just makes me think it's impossible to get to 10 wins. O well. We will know one way or another.

SECw has been tough for a long time. Yet somehow LSU and Les still manage to average 9-10 wins. As much as it pains you, and I know it does, LSU is one of the better programs in the west. They are one of the reasons why folks refer to the west as the toughest division in football.

I pray to the football Gods that aTm is expecting Chavis to coach the DBs. I hope that he's the best DB coach on that team. If so, Fournette and Harris/Jennings will have Heismanesque games.

And it's been tougher the last couple seasons than it has ever been. It now has 7 teams and they all made a bowl game last season.

This is LSU's division record the last three seasons:

6-2
5-3
4-4

I think. That's from memory.

2014 3-5 #103 in total defense and #32 in total offense

It's all about the stats.

so you're saying the offense has consistently gotten worse since Manziel left?

i'd have to agree there

He's only been gone one year. You're smarter than this.

Of course. We had tGoat, then replaced him with a true sophomore that fell off the wagon, and then a true freshman who finished strong. Kyle Allen looks great to me, Les would probably win a game or two more this season with him under center. Kid was the number one QB recruit in the nation, and like Leonard Fournette had some growing pains but looks to be legit. If Kyle Allen is the SEC's leading passer this year would that surprise you? It wouldn't surprise me. I expect it. Much like I expect Fournette to be the leading rusher.

ya don't say

the point I'm making is that aTm's offense isn't as dominant as you think it is

y'all act like mediocre offense+Chavis=Championship which makes me lol
