Not by your established pattern of reasoning

So pick one

If Nick Saban never arrived in Baton Rouge you're basically Ole Miss but a tiny bit better. Y'all's histories would be basically identical. Ole Miss running from Southern Miss. LSU running from Texas A&M. One title when only white kids played. Eerily similar.

Howard Matthews isn't soft, he played it wrong obviously, but he actually was a pretty physical safety.

you aggies are desparate to be competitive. you've done everything backwards. paying your coach before he excels and after he fricks up the talent he inherited. now, you're overpaying for a DC to bail out the overpaid HC. but, you've joined the SEC, spent 500 mil on a new stadium and bragged about how great you are so much that you're stuck. if it works out you really can't brag much more (although i'm sure you'll give it a hell of a shot). if it doesn't work out and you continue to struggle for middle of the pack status you will never garner respect. you'll just be known as a bunch of wind bags.

You have some catching up to do. You are still on stage two and most LSU fans got passed that after page 7 of this thread.

All time rankings thru 2000: LSU #10, Ole Miss #26

False. A young upstart coming off an undefeated season in Utah wanted to come to College Station, but we had just stolen Fran. Urban > Nick.

just roll with it anyways

I love the "only bc you got Saban" crowd

they don't understand the basic fundamental flaw in their reasoning

There is no flaw. Alabama fans are usually the worst that assuming the name on their jersey matters more than the head coach, but LSU fans are getting close. Head coaching hires more often than not require an incredible amount of luck. In LSU's case that was very much what happened.

I mean why wouldn't he? The LSU to A&M pipeline has been pretty strong recently. Pat Henry and a few others come to mind.

so you think Les Miles is a great coach?

I know and I thank the Lord above everyday that we were so lucky. Thank you God for Nick Saban!

Again, so Miles is a good coach? His results are outstanding.

He only wins with Saban's players. Have you not heard?

I've no idea. There have certainly been openings in CS that he could have jumped all over. Instead he chose elsewhere (LSU as an example).
