I'm glad someone outside of Ole Miss is finally saying this.

The style matchup is in LSU's favor. LSU has to force a couple of turnovers and not turn it over themselves. LSU has to keep drives alive be it by Jennings on a scramble, a few timely completions and having the running game going.

Hope for a muffed punt or kick return to manufacture some cheap points and ride the defense.

Ole Miss is objectively the better team, but I'll take the matchup and hope LSU gets a couple of good bounces and keeps the crowd in the game. One of the more interesting games left on the z SEC schedule.

I didn't realize these two football games were a controlled experiment, with a single variable.

Miles better let Cam open up the offense and throw some stuff at that OM defense that they aren't prepared for - that's the only way LSU's offense will be productive

This.

The same old vanilla O isn't going to get it done vs OM. Cam and Miles have to throw in some wrinkles that catch that aggressive D over pursuing.

The reason for this though is that the coaching staff was more afraid of Sims as a passer and we did not stack the box. I don't believe Jennings is on Sims level, passing wise.

Absolutely. I still think Ole Miss will use a similar strategy though against LSU keeping the QBs in the pocket and relying on blitzes and DTs to bring inside pressure.

Have you watched our young QB's though? The play calling does nothing to help them. I can count on one hand the amount of screens/ short intermediate passes we throw each game. Its an all or nothing mindset and it's frustrating.

That and Jennings' pocket awareness is damn near nonexistent. That doesn't work too well when you don't throw short passes.

Will Les break away from his stubborness and let Cam shake things up? OM wants LSU to bring the same ole scheme they've seen all year and their D will feast if LSU doesn't bring some diversity.

LSU on the other hand better be ready for a solid offensive performance from Wallace & Co. Bo is playing with confidence and consistancy since that Memphis game, he's looking good.

Honestly I have not watched that much. All you are saying is probably true I just have a hard time believing that Cameron cant adjust as the season goes on, especially for this big of a game.

Maybe 2 or 3 plays, but 95% of the offensive snaps will be the same old ground and pound.

Where did I say that?

I said that an avalanche happened, which is common in college football. No, I don't think that Auburn is 34 points better than LSU just like I don't think that LSU is 38 points better than Kentucky.

You probably thought that Alabama was 3 TDs better than LSU after the National Championship Game and that LSU was NOT 3 points better than Alabama in 2011 after they played in the regular season.

Game scores are subservient to a hundred different factors. To say that a team is actually that much better than another discounts all of the things that can happen in a moment in a game to alter the outcome. If a few things go differently, the outcome can be much different as well.

But, then again, many fans of opposing teams only apply that logic to the teams that they don't like and do not apply it to their own team. But, it is true across the board.

It has to be. Neither Les or Cam trust our QBs.

We throw for 282 per game (3rd) in conference to you giving up 156. But you were blown out at half for 2 of those games against teams that didn't have to throw. 700 of your 1200 passing yards against have been in the first half.

Pretty sure the stats last year favored LSU very well and you weren't supposed to beat us with your 2nd and 3rd stringers.
Keep the game close and shite happens easily to the favored team especially on the road.

I am pretty damn confident this year as odd as it sounds for me to say that but that being said I would not be suprised if we lose or even take a lickin'. But I just don'tsee Iit happening.

I've watched them play and I believe Cameron can adjust and bring some variety to the game. BUT Les has the reigns so tight on that offense and his unwillingness to let his OC call the shots may bite him in the arse if he brings that same old offense against OM.

OM will dominate the LOS and destroy all LSU lineman. Bank account on it.

Proof that none of you have any clue about what's going on at LSU. Les has been seen multiple times this year yelling to throw the ball into his headsets. They don't trust the QBs. Plain and simple.

You live in the basement with about $9.53 in your bank account right? Easier for you to say and do that!

Maybe we will return the favor this year with our backups.
