last year he beat dabo with a back up qb.

tech beat him on a fluke.

Jimbo is a much better coach than Les.

Yea, I mean, look at all this below. And while looking, keep in mind he this was his first head coaching job. Guys like Malzahn have gotten semi-passes for "learning on the job", well Jimbo was learning on the job at FSU as well.

FSU Pre-Jimbo as HC
2005 - 8-5
2006 - 7-6
2007 - 7-6
2008 - 9-4
2009 - 7-6

FSU with Jimbo as HC
2010 - 10-4
2011 - 9-4
2012 - 12-2 (ACC Champ)
2013 - 14-0 (ACC Champ) (National Champ)
2014 - 13-1 (ACC Champ) (CFB Final Four)
2015 - 8-2

They've gone 29-3 in the ACC since 2012.

Bowden had them in a huge rut. I feel like FSU was on the verge of being texas under mack brown. The record stayed around 500 but the rot in the program got really deep.

I feel like its the danger with Miles as well, we might not have a below 500 season but being lazy and quitting could take hold if we don't make changes.

They've lost 2 games they shouldn't have lost in the last 4 seasons.

Basically the only team in America that doesn't screw up at least a game against a totally overmatched opponenet every 2-3 years that they should win is Alabama, and we still lose games to teams with less talent (though, to be fair, that applies to pretty much everyone other than OSU).

Look I know their histories. I grew up in the Upper Midwest. I've followed college football for 25 years. My point is the uneducated ranters should quit bashing the other conferences, yet want to get the coaches from the shitty conferences. Nobody is saying to get a Southern gentlemen, but the SEC prides itself on paying the assistants top dollar. See what they got as head ball coaches, that's all.

Bama lost to ole miss, shite happens.

Ga tech won on one of the most bizarre plays ever. It shouldn't have been a close game but it wasn't like what arky did to us last week.

Yea, people in 2015 forget how mediocre FSU had become.

They were nationally irrelevant from 2001 - 2009. That is almost a full decade. They won 10 games ONE TIME from 2001 - 2009.

Programs like Alabama and LSU don't hire assistants to "see what they got" when they are where they are right now (just like Ohio State doesn't).

Those guys go to places like South Carolina, Washington, Syracuse, Louisville, figure it out and then we hire them from there.

Do me a favor and go look up Saban, Miles and Bert's coaching history on wiki. This ain't runnin' for Governor of Mississippi. We don't need a southern gentleman.

True dat.

LSU is Yankee Coach U.

We're on our 3rd in a row.

Though Dietzel was an Ohio Yankee too. Mike Archer was also a Yankee (Pennsylvania).

alot of people look at a program and if they stay above .500 they just assume every thing is alright. However the attitude of a team that is 7-5, 8-4 and 9-3 can be pretty bad. It gets worse when you have a coach that has been entrenched for a long while like Bowden had been.

Penn State was another program that was about to nose dive, now they fell way worse because they are pedos but even if that doesn't come out I feel like they would be in a texas type situation.

Still no big point for Jimbo being better than Les. But whatever change just for change,

Love seeing LSU fans saying how stacked they ll be with jimbo... You have top classes every yr, still get owned by your old Daddy. Hell give UF another yr and Coach Mac will own that a$$ too. Took a fake fg to win this yr vs a down UF team with a backup qb. Lol

Yep. Well, at Alabama we don't deal with those situations. We either win a bunch with an all-time coach or we cheat and fire everyone while going on wild sprees of good and bad until we find another one.

Two different paths to take I guess
