If Les got fired, he would still walk into Tiger Stadium with a thunderous ovation if he returned with another team.

He's a great guy that really does care about the school and players.

He just doesn't have all his marbles.

Ehh.....UNC was awful the last 2-3 years. And not just on defense. Their offenses were inefficient as hail.

yep once boosters have had enough. I tend to believe that we have the money for the buyout and a new coach lined up. The TAF basically prints money

Joe Alleva is cuck that would try to hold this up but I think once enough boosters get the red arse his hands will be tied.

Les being loyal to fricking peveto doesn't help his cause with the big time boosters.

Les has also lost his fire, he was laughing while bama was busy beating our arse. Championship coaches aren't laughing while they get their arse beat. I think Les is done after this year or next, the fire is out.

He has had a history of medical problems, plus then add in the trip to er before the season.

Hiring Steele infuriated some folks too. That was the most underwhelming hire at the most critical moment.

He really fricked that one up.

Chavis is clearly replaceable, but Les failed to replace him with anyone competent.

I would much rather Jimbo than Larry.

If we were to make a move this year I think it would have to be Jimbo or hold steady for one more year.

whoever replaces les has to keep Ed o on staff

Agree with all of this.

I don't want Larry as of now...like at all. He needs to prove to be consistent first.

The whole Winston shite was blown so out of proportion with regards to Jimbo. The rape charges were dropped, so that cant be held against Jimbo at all. Lets look at the other incidents:

Misdemeanor theft: no coach is kicking their QB off, none

BB incident and frick her in the pussy incident which resulted in zero legal issues or even being cited.

We all like to ge pissed about Winston but he never truly gave any coach in america a reason to kick him off the team

I agree, I understand why we got Steele but it should have been hire a dc first, then bring in Ed o and Steele to coach lb/special teams.

Steele would be a great position coach, he would be able to organize our recruiting like he has done. I think we needed him to get our shite in order because our recruiting has been a hodgepodge mess, good rankings but les has some weird fetish with spread option qbs and trying to put them in a pro style system.

I totally agree, at least of the known commodities. My question would be, is he that much of an improvement over Miles and would it be worth the pain and suffering that firing a guy with Miles' resume would cause?

I say this at the risk of seeming as though I don't respect Miles. And I do. I respect the hell out of Miles. He's done great things for LSU, and the bromance began post-Katrina.

That being said, LSU fans have witnessed some real head scratchers over the years. Lots of clock management wtf's, offensive philosophy stagnant, losing games he shouldn't, playing down to opponents, etc..Idk how good of a gameday coach Jimbo is, but I don't recall seeing a lot of these type mistakes.

I also see that Jimbo has coached a lot of QBs who are now in the league. A lot of them 1st rounders (Ponder, Manuel, Jamarcus, Winston) and as an LSU fan, man, that sounds sweet. What a breath of fresh air a QB developing coach would be.

So would we have similar success? Maybe. All that I ask is that the same success come in a not so "pull your hair out at times" way, if that makes any sense.

He's not leaving Fsu. He can recruit there better than Lsu and face an acc schedule yearly. Easy job.

So - would 100% be happy firing Miles (and all the awkwardness and public relation issues that might cause) to hire Jimbo?
I don't want Miles fired. Our fickle fans bought into the hype, even when most predicted 9-3 10-2.
